My online collection and IOS versions are fine and still have all cast/crew data, but for some reason my PC version is missing all cast and crew data (everything else looks totally fine, only that part is gone). I tried a database repair, nada. Tried restoring from an older backup, nada.  How do I get that info back?  I don't really want to do a complete refresh if I don't have to because I have things I edited differently from the Invelos database, and locks I don't want to have to go an unlock. I don't want to risk messing up my ios data now either, so I'm afraid to sync the changes. Any idea what happened and/or how I can get that data back?

All of your cast/crew just disappeared? I've really never heard of that problem before..

Have you tried loading another layout in the program, or changing themes? You might want to also try clearing all filters.

If neither a database repair or a restore from an older backup of your database didn't correct it, I'm clueless. You might want to open up a technical support ticket.

That's what I'd do... if you have an older backup and it still didn't work I"d guess it was your current configuration.  If you have another PC handy I'd install DVDP on it and restore your latest backup, to see if it fixes the problem.  If so, you could uninstall and reinstall DVDP and restore your backup to see if that clears up the problem.

Go to menu "View -> Windows" and make sure both "Cast" and "Crew" are flagged.

If they already are I'd need 2 screenshots:
1) Your normal program window
2) A screenshot of the Profile-Editor (any profile) with opened "Cast"-tab
It all seems so stupid, it makes me want to give up!
But why should I give up, when it all seems so stupid?

Thanks everyone. I have no idea what caused it, I can only assume a corruption in the DB or something. It was very weird because all other data was fine except cast and crew.  The Cast and Crew view/windows were both flagged, and I had changed absolutely no settings recently.  I did have it crash during a db repair a week or two ago, which I think may have been the culprit. Surprised the backup restoration didn't take care of it. What I ended up doing was updating my online collection from my iPhone (which was still okay, as I said).  Then I replaced my PC collection with a download from my online collection.  As far as I can tell, that worked, and all my cast/crew data came back.  It was very odd though--at the time I even tried exporting the records as XML to see if the cast/crew data was still there but hidden somehow, and those fields were empty.  Somehow the specific DBs for cast/crew must've been corrupted, and the online restore somehow worked when the backups didn't.  Anyway, thanks all.

Just wanted to add a follow up to this-- something really weird happened after I did this restore. A whole bunch of "Users" were added to my account-- people I have never heard of before and never met. And they can't be fake people because there were phone numbers and email addresses associated with them. Ken, I think this may be a pretty big privacy issue glitch and think it pretty important somebody look at this.  Somehow these users became associated with my online profile? It's the only thing I can guess.

Edit - Talked with Ken and it was something to do with an old bug. Hopefully not something other users will ever see, and the data I saw was his test data, not any customer data, so no worries there.

I'm having the same issue with a bunch of titles but the issue is showing up in my online collection as well as my PC collection so I can't use the online to update the PC one.  I tried deleting  one of my kids movies that I don't really care about, 10 Things I Hate About You.  I removed it from my collection, then added it back as a new title.  It still shows no cast or crew.  Of my  collection I went through the first 30 and 10 of them are affected.  So its roughly 1/3 of my collection.  Take a look at Act of Valor from my online collection as an example.

Strange, I just checked my online collection and found the my Act of Valor (Blu-ray) is not showing the cast and crew but the DVD is. The cast and crew are in both of local profiles. I re-uploaded my DB to my online DB and it still not showing for the Blu.

If the window is checked, it is visible, but the tab may be in a group of tabs you're not expecting it to be in.  Try unchecking/checking the view option and watching what changes.

I'm not changing any views.  I can simply select different DVDs and the Cast and Crew are at the bottom of the default view.  Some of them are populated, some are simply empty.

Again, I invite you to look at my online collection.  Look at Act of Valor, then Air Force One.  No cast or crew.  Then select Alladin and you'll see cast and crew.

This has nothing to do with the views themselves but rather something to do with the way the data is just not populating the view.

I do not have Cast and Crew for any Box Set. These two profiles have the Main Feature twice, on two discs resp. on two sides of one disc.

I just added a new DVD I got and the cast and crew are visible for it.  None are visible for any other movies.

Anybody else getting confused with this thread?

I'm not sure if we're now talking about views/windows/layouts, or coding bugs.

What is confusing?  This isn't about a view its about data not showing up.

It was sarcasm. Views has been mentioned numerous times in this thread as a possible cause to some of these issues. Even the Forum Moderator brought it up the other day.
