I've been using DVD Profiler on my iPhone for years. Recently I upgraded to an iPhone 5C, and after restoring the phone from the iCloud, my database was there -- but the cover all for all but three titles (out of hundreds) was gone.

I have tried every single fix already suggested in these forums -- I have switched the resolution of the thumbnails to Low ("rebuilding thumbnails") -- still no images -- and back to High ("rebuilding thumbnails") several times -- despite all that "rebuilding" there are still no thumbnails.

I tried signing up for an account here at Invelos, which I did -- but when I tried to upload my collection, it only accepted 50 titles, not the 200+ in my catalog. So when I was tried the download option, and was warned that this database (of only 50 titles, rpresumably) would overwrite my database, I decided not to risk it.

I should add that I do not own a Windows PC, and do not have access to one. So buying the desktop version of DVD profiler is not, for me, an option.

Can anyone advise?

OK, I finally found the solution -- which was to throw caution to the winds, delete the database on my iPhone, and download the backup EVEN THOUGH the Invelos site had (inaccurately, as it turns out) said that my online database had only 50 items! Everything came back, all the images, all the ratings, purchase dates, etc.

Now if only Invelos would make a Mac desktop version, my happiness would be complete!

Hey
How did you deleted your database from a phone?
Did you first delete a whole program from the phone, and used some sort of cloud service to get it back?
Above mentioned would seem to me as default choise. However backup from a cloud brings up collection backup same time, so not helping..
Thanks for help.

I lost 50% of cover art upgrading from iPhone 4s to iPhone 5s.  Tried the "update database", changing from high res to low res thumbnails....  Nothing worked.  Images were lost and would not rebuild.
Emails to support no help.
Finally figured if Filmhistory1889 below made it work I would try the same.  I could not figure out how to delete the database, so here are the steps I took:
1) Change connection type DVD Profiler online (must create free account with Invelos)
2) Go to collection
3) Actions – upper left – Update Collection
4) iPhone push to Cloud  (367 updated)
5) Delete App
6) Purchase App
7) Load from cloud online to iPhone  - images restored, dates viewed retained, Loaned info still out there.  I got it back!

Sucks that I had to buy it again, but worth it for may time.  I shuddered at writing hundreds of titles and or barcodes down to get the right version I have, then reentering and matching up from the 5 versions of each movie without a barcode scanner. Plus I would have lost the purchase date, price, last watched, ...  Worth the money to me

You shouldn't have needed to purchase it again.  Once purchased, it should always be available to re-download (you should see a cloud icon in those cases instead of a price).  The only reason you would have needed to repurchase it is if you downloaded it from a different account than the one you initially purchased it on.

I've re-downloaded it and re-installed it many, many times.  But I've only ever purchased it once.
Get the CSVExport and Database Query plug-ins here.
Create fake parent profiles to organize your collection.
