I haven't seen this addressed yet, so I figured I'd ask.

With the latest trend of studios (usually Fox) to repackage previously released TV season sets in smaller (slimmer) boxes/packs, should there be a separate entry for the slim sets vs the original ones?  The specific series I am referring to are The X-Files, Buffy, Angel, and Stargate, but I know they've done this with other shows and will continue to.  I do know that in the case of The X-Files, there are extras missing that were in the original box sets, but the others I believe are the same contents, not sure if the disks themselves are identical too.

Just wanted to ask before I went through and submitted all the ones I have.

Assuming the UPC #'s are the same, then the Rules are very clear. For Contributions the ONLY data and images are for the ORIGINAL release, you should of course maintain the information you have locally.

Makes sense, however the UPCs are not the same, at least not for the 6 seasons of Buffy, the 2 seasons of Angel, and the 1 season of Stargate SG-1 that I have.  I don't know if that's just Fox keeping different UPCs for different packaging variations or if there is a difference in the disks themselves, because I don't have access to the original releases of any of those to compare.

Like what Skip said (especially the God Bless them as keeping the UPC is a real pain for us here) but just a reminder you may need to change the Case Type from Digipak to Box Set, as well as the UPC, before submission
