| Posted: | | | | I don't know if anyone here is using my program launcher, GsyLaunch, but just in case I'd like to inform you that it has been updated. When you move the mouse over a launch button, the tooltip now has a background color as follows: Red - this program is running, and "Prevent double run" is checked, so clicking the button will have no effect. Yellow - this program is running, and "Prevent double run" is unchecked, so clicking the button will start a new instance of the program. Green - the program is not running. Clicking the button will start it. The new version is GsyLaunch 1.11.0 | | | My freeware tools for DVD Profiler users. Gunnar |

| Posted: | | | | Quoting myself: Quote: clicking the button will have no effect Come to think of it, that's actually not quite true. If the program is running and "Prevent double run" is checked, I try to restore and activate its main window. It usually works, but it may fail depending on how the program has opened its window. It can work even if the window has been minimized in a normal manner. It does not work if the program has been minimized to the system tray. There is, as far as I know, no 'official' way to access programs in the systray. I think I have seen examples of how people try to use SendMessage to simulate clicking or double-clicking an icon in the systray, but that seems rather hit and miss. And you don't really know what a click or double-click will do for a random program in the systray. Just a bit of trivia in case anyone is interested. | | | My freeware tools for DVD Profiler users. | Posted: | | | | I use your program. I've had to stop depending on in until I find out why it lost all program tabs and buttons. I this filled with programs. This, a few days ago, everything went blank. All the tabs, except one, and all the program buttons, except one, are gone. It was a lot of work to set that up. I don't want to have to do that again.
Any ideas how the program can lose all its info like this? | | | Just in from somewhere left of the middle of nowhere The Holy See Hell |

| Posted: | | | | Sorry to hear that, Floorwalker.
The only reason that I can think of is that the registry entries for GsyLaunch were somehow removed or corrupted. I don't know how that could have happened. The settings are saved in the registry at HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Gunnar Syrén\GsyLaunch, in case you wish to check if there is any trace left of them.
If you re-populate GsyLaunch, right-click at the top of the program when you're done and select Backup registry settings from the context meny. That will create a .reg file with all the settings. You can use that to restore them if anything like this should ever happen again. | | | My freeware tools for DVD Profiler users. Gunnar |
