I just added to my collection a TCM Greatest Classic Legends boxed set of Gene Kelly movies - when I entered the UPC code it was unrecognized, so I added it manually. (peeved because there are tons of this series, but not the Gene Kelly one.  To add to the confusion, when I insert individual discs, they come up as parts of other boxed sets, which doesn't help me, as I want to be able to search and find the right box.

It is a 4 disc set, and I want to add each disc (a separate movie on each) as child profiles to the original.  I figure if I do this correctly, I will be able to contribute so that others won't have to go through this tedious process.  Can anyone offer a step by step, or refer me to one?  My knowledge of this program is still growing.

Thanks in advance.

What you need to do is:
1) Create a new parent profile by UPC for the box set;
2) Create disc-level profiles by Disc ID using the alternate versions feature;
3) Attach the disc-level profiles to the parent profile in the parent profile's box set contents.

Then, if you like, you can contribute your newly created profiles (both parent and child) to the Invelos central database.

or:
1) as above
2) find the best existing child profile, add them to your collection and change those to Alternate Version.
3) as above
