DVD Profiler's Menu is a powerful center of functionality for the entire program. At first, the number and variety of menu items and features may be a bit daunting. Fear not! This section will help you get the most out of the DVD Profiler menu without getting overwhelmed.
Select a menu item below to "dive down" and learn about the menu commands for each.

Add to Collection... | Now this is what it's all about - adding DVDs to your collection! Whether you just got back from your favorite retailer with a bag of DVDs, or you've just read about an upcoming DVD release and want to add it to your wish list, this is the place to go. Be sure to select the ownership category you want to add to first.
Edit | Whether you've found a mistake in the database, or would just like to customize a profile to your tastes, select Edit to make your changes. When you're done, consider whether your changes would be usefull to other DVD Profiler users, and if so, contribute the profile for others to share.
Personalize... | If all you need to edit is personal information (such as Notes, Purchase Place, Date, or Price, Collection Number, etc), select Personalize instead of Edit. DVD Profiler will prompt you only for the applicable personal information, and won't mark the profile itself as changed.
Watched By... | Enter information detailing who has watched the current DVD. This information is used by the Movie Pick feature.
View History | View and edit events for the current DVD. Events track when DVDs are loaned, returned, and watched by users.
Lock > | If you've made edits to an existing profile, and don't want to accidentally overwrite your changes with a later update, you can choose to Lock all or parts of the profile.
Flag | Flagging profiles lets you perform an operation on more than one at a time, or run a report on the flagged profiles.
Pick More Like This... | Launches Movie Pick to find more entries in your collection similar to the selected title.
Remove From Collection | Own a DVD that's not up to snuff? When you sell it to some unsuspecting collector, here's how you remove all traces from your collection. If the profile has images, DVD Profiler will ask whether you'd like to delete those as well.
Move to > | Use this option to move a DVD from one collection type to another. (e.g. from Ordered to Owned)
Edit Cover Image > | DVD Profiler includes a built-in image editor, usefull for editing cover images for your DVDs. Loading, scanning, rotating and cropping are all possible. Just like changes to a profile, changes to cover images can be contributed to the online database.
Scan DVD-ROM Drive | DVD Profiler can read the disc ID from a DVD inserted into a DVD-ROM drive, and can identify the DVD automatically.
Change Locality... | Some DVDs are made available in more than one country or locale. Localities allow DVD Profiler to store a customized version of profiles for each area. If a particular DVD is available in your locality, but not yet available localized in the DVD Profiler database, you may choose to download an existing profile and change the locality with this option.
Change UPC... | Manufacturers sometimes release the same (or similar) DVD with two or more possible UPCs. Rather than re-enter the information, you may choose to download the existing profile, then change the UPC with this option.
