| Posted: | | | | Did you ever had a problem like this:
About two weeks ago I bought the Season One of "ROM" (uncut - FSK 18) and on the cover of the box the sixth disc promises about 140 minutes of bonus material (6 clips). But the truth is, that there are only two clips with abot 47 minutes. Well, I wrote mails to Warner Homevideo, I called them - but for two weeks absolutely no reaction :-( I am disappointed and angry as I was really interested in the promised stuff. And in the shops they don't take back DVD's if the pack is already opened.
Other companies have a good service (to make some compliments): Eurovideo once didn't insert the promised booklet into the pack, I wrote a mail and two days later the postman brought it. Another box included one disc twice, the other was totally missing - a call, a mail, sending back the wrong disc and three days later getting the missing one..
Does anyone have an idea how to handle those huge companie like Warner? For me it seems they are not interested in satisfying the customers!
One DVD of them ("Im Glanz der Sonne" - Original Title: "The Power of One") was promised for Germany for May 2006 - and it still isn't. And one more time no answer....
As collectors are for sure customers maybe some has an idea to help me or to find a solution for everyone who has similar problems. Let me know your ideas! |

| Posted: | | | | I was thinking the same thing... if it is just the length that is off it could just be a typo on the case. Now if there is actual extras listed on the case that do not appear on the disc... then that would be different. Though I have seen that too in the past. | | | Pete |

| Posted: | | | | Sadly, as has already been stated, there is very little you can do unless the company in question genuinely just made a mistake on your copy so you have a 'one-of'f faulty set. If they make an error on the case wrt extras etc. they can legally claim it's just an error where (say) the printer received information about material that for some reason never made it onto the discs at the last minute.
I believe that if it's a statement about the actual episodes that is incorrect then, as that is the main content of the set that you are buying, they occasionally can be at least forced to return your money and change the packaging for mis-selling of goods but if it's extras (unless it's a huge mis-description) they usually claim that they are bonuses anyway (even though they may be the reason you personally got the set in the first place) and best you'll get is your money back if your lucky but they aren't as legally bound. | | | It is dangerous to be right in matters where established men are wrong |

its Rome http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0384766/ Just looking at the covers, the German release does have a quite detailed description of 6 bonus features, whereas the US edition lists just 2. Looks like a legitimate complaint to me. | | | Hans |

On the other hand (UPC 7321925003673): according to DVDP contribution the Bonus Disc is only 45 minutes long, but according to the guys who edited the other parts there are featurettes on parts 1/3, 9/10 and 11/12. So better check that out if you didn't. | | | Last edited: by railroaded |

Oh well. Haha, that's awesome! I was actually thinking the exact same thing when I saw the title 'Rom'. In fact, I still have that comic depicted above. As a child I was a big comic fan and to this day, still am to a degree (although I've shifted to digital comics now). 40 cent for a comic ... where are the days ... | | | Blu-ray collection DVD collection My Games My Trophies | | | Last edited: by Taro |

| Posted: | | | | But it didn't solve Magmadrag's problem, how "awesome" it all may be. Nobody took the trouble to check "Rom(e)" for Featurettes? As I noted: according to Profiler the Bonus Disc has a 45 minutes running time. It's just parts 1/3, 9/10 and 11/12 that according to contributors has also Featurettes, so not too much to check. |
