Correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm quite sure we got Suomi, Castellano and Netherlands in Audio and Subtitles.

I don't know what I think here. We do have those languages covered. At least one listed is a dialect as opposed to an actual language. Some will no doubt argue the point. But should we list Cajun, southern, brooklynese, Bostonian and so forth as languages separate from English. Go pahk the cahoots in the yahd,  mahge

(I'd vote Yes for Brooklynese (born and bred).  Go Trolley Dodgers!)

It may be good to list both the native and translated names for each language. Right now, they are mostly translated, but a few aren't and it causes confusion.

+1

The first time one comes across, e.g., Hrvatski, Suomi or Thai/Korean/Cantonese/Mandarin (spelled natively) can definitely be a bit of a puzzle.  Of course, Wikipedia is your friend, but language names written in completely foreign glyphs can be practically impossible to search for.

The translation files can be edited by anyone so go ahead and list them anyway you prefer.

Something like this? Languages in DVD Profiler (only a start, to bee expanded)
I would need some help though, e.g. why is the audio called "Slovak" and the Subtitles "Slovakian"?
And I roughly know about "chinese", "mandarin" and "cantonese" but how would I write this in chinese?

For that matter, I'm not sure why Swiss German has its own entry when Quebecois French doesn't.

Well I don't know Quebecois, but Schwyzerdütsch is almost incomprehensible for a German. It is not to be confused with "Schweizer Hochdeutsch" which only has some funny vocabulary but is otherwise really near to german.
One could of course ask how many movies exist in Schwyzerdütsch, but that is another beast.

Don't really know in what context but maybe there are explicit swiss German subtitles but Quebecois French?

Thanks to Ranavalone, dee1959jay and Wikipedia I'm mostly done with Languages in DVD Profiler

There are still some empty spots which I couldn't fill with data that held up to my own scrutiny. On "Arabic" for instance there are too many alternatives and I haven't the first clue on which to choose. Or Bahasa ... is it Indonesian or Malayan Bahasa?

If anyone knows enough to chip in feel free to pm me.
