Tales from the Crypt TV season sets are a good example. The first 2 seasons are digipacks under a slip case, seasons 3-7 are are slim cases under a slip case. |

| Posted: | | | | A Slip Case has one opening usually holding one or more digipak, thinpak, etc. and usualy have no UPC code and are usually not offered for sell on their own.
Where as a Slip Cover has two openings where the covered item has a UPC, could offered for sell in it own without the cover, and is usually included only on the initial DVD release. | | | We don't need stinkin' IMDB's errors, we make our own. | Posted: | | | | For our purposes a slip case is a case that holds more than one item. Usually it has an opening at one end. Hence you can "slip" out the contents from the case without opening it up. On the other hand, if it is a closed container, it's probably a Box. | | | First registered: February 15, 2002 | | | Last edited: by Nexus the Sixth |

Nope, if it's just one digipak it's a slip cover. | | | First registered: February 15, 2002 |

Nope, if it's just one digipak it's a slip cover. Exactly. Anything that holds two or more cases is a slip case while something that only holds one case is a slip cover. |

| Posted: | | | | This quote from Ken is always helpful to me: Slip Case should be used when the profile itself has no other case. If the box set includes individual cases for children, all surrounded by a slip case, the box set profile will have slip case as the case type and the children will have their individual case types. If the box set has a single multi-disc case surrounded by a cover, use the multi-disc case type for the box set and check the slip cover checkbox. | | | Last edited: by apltm |

Nope, if it's just one digipak it's a slip cover. Someday I'll get sick of being wrong and just stop trying. I see what happened though, all I could see was "digipack, slip c" the way my local is set up. 'C' looked like it was for case, but it was cover, and what I get for not opening it and making sure. |

What is the Case Type? If that's all one package, I think it becomes custom at this point (unless there's different upc #'s on the outer case vs the inner, then the outer case becomes a parent and the insides a child). Slip case, slip cover & HD slim won't all work together. The top left of picture is a slip cover, the top right is a slip case, the bottom is either an HD slim or HD keepcase (depending on how thick it is, still figuring that part out). So it's one HD Keep Case within a Slip Case, within a Slip Cover. It has to be custom when too many are combined. |

| Posted: | | | | No it's certainly not Custom, it's simply HD Keep Case with ticked Slip checkbox.
"Slip Case" is for multiple Cases inside (Digipack, ThinPaks, Keep Cases, Snappers...), where the child profiles get the actual Case type. "Slip Cover" is for anything that goes over a single Case, no matter if it's a Slip Cover, a Slip Case, a paper envelope, or any combination.
Exactly what apltm already said, when quoting Ken. | | | Last edited: by M_E |

What is the Case Type? Exactly what you just wrote. Except we can't tick multiple slip covers so one will have to suffice for both. | | | First registered: February 15, 2002 |

Exactly what you just wrote. Except we can't tick multiple slip covers so one will have to suffice for both. I thought when we couldn't click anymore options, but still needed to, it went to custom territory? |

| Posted: | | | | But there's nothing "custom" about this packaging except an extra slip cover. Back when we couldn't tick slip covers at all, did you enter all standard keep cases with slip covers as "custom" ? | | | First registered: February 15, 2002 |
