| Posted: | | | | Hey all you Aussies out there, can you people buy the same DVD's as I do so they are already in the database? Actually, I'd like to know where Aussies are buying their DVD's online. What places have you found to be good? For me, it appears JB and ClassicDVD are good so far. What do you guys use? |

| Posted: | | | | I buy from JB Hi-Fi, Big W and select newsagents around town; usually can get decent DVDs two for 10 dollars. Or the $2 shop, Sam's Warehouse. Mostly I buy from Britain and the U.S as those regions usually have better extras than Australia! Cheers | | | In the end; Winning is the only safety. Kerr Avon Blakes 7 Series 4, Ep. Blake. |

| Posted: | | | | I could use some Aussie help as well. I really liked the TV show called Satisfaction. But only Season 1 was released in Europe. Where can I find season 2 and 3 for a decent price. The lowest I could find was over 40$. Add to that shipping costs and import taxes, and you end up with a rather high price for a 10 episode show | | | View my collection at http://www.chriskepolis.be/home/dvd.htm

Go here http://www.jbhifionline.com.au/default.aspx and enter Satisfaction into the search, they have them for $24.98 currently not sure if that's cheap, I'm not familiar with the show. They say they ship international via Air Post and I think they still have their "Buy 2 get one free TV sale" going at the moment (ie: if you buy 3 TV dvd's you get the cheapest one of them free) | | | Last edited: by Parsec |

| Posted: | | | | Thanks for the feedback. I took the chance of ordering Season 2 at JB Hifi. Shipping charges were somewhat expensive. Total amount came to 38.93 AUD, which is about 34€. I do have the risk to pay another 10€ on import taxes.
I'll probably need to look for a universal remote to unlock the DVD portion of either my European Sony BDP-S470 or my US Samsung BD-D6500. Only R4 is listed on the cover. I'll have to wait and see, if R2 is included. | | | View my collection at http://www.chriskepolis.be/home/dvd.htm

| Posted: | | | | Thanks Mithi, but already own Season 1. I know above 22€ we pay a fee of 10€. But I don't know up until to which point. 78€ may already be high enough for customs to start calculating all taxes and fees.
Lucky for me I don't have to import that many R4 titles. | | | View my collection at http://www.chriskepolis.be/home/dvd.htm

| Posted: | | | | Guessing from the way things work over here, I'm betting that JB copy has a UPC of 9398710919097 which unfortunately only lists R4. It's in the database already. JB don't list UPC's but their copies generally are the same as others available at some other Aussie retailers that do list UPC's. Interesting, my topic looking for other Aussies and I only got one of them so far (Sidrat). My threads been hijacked I don't mind... | | | Last edited: by Parsec |

What do you guys use? Hi from Coffs Harbour (NSW). Being stuck in a regiional city, I now longer have the convenience of shopping as I did in Brisbane where I lived until last year. I now live for 'online' shopping My pick for Australian vendors are as follows: 1. JB HiFi Online. 2. BigW Online 3. Devoted DVD 4. Sanity 5. The Nile Run out of space. | | | Veni, Vidi, Visa, Vista, Voodoo, Vino I came, I saw, I bought, I installed Vista, I'm now haunted, I need wine
Apologies to Julius Caesar in 47 BC who said "Veni, Vidi, Vici" - "I came, I saw, I conquered." | | | Last edited: by et tu Brute |

| Posted: | | | | I buy from JB, Big W and assorted Newsagents, $2 shops. Online my store of choice is Devoted. I did order from JB online once but it took forever. Target actually has some one off classis DVD's which you never seem to find elsewhere. K-Mart once upon a time used to be good when they had 25% sales. Best of luck in your endevours. Cheers Kelvin |

| Posted: | | | | I live in the UK and only ever use EZY DVD when ordering from Australia. However, when I'm out there (every couple of years) I can't stay away from JB Hi-Fi! |

| Posted: | | | | I often have found myself wandering the isles at JB's, frustrates me when I can't find something to buy (I'm a very 'in the mood' type buyer). Also JB's prices vary all over the place over time, I've seen movies released at retail price, be 1/3rd cheaper a week later, and 25% over release price a month after that. Also there online is sometimes dog slow but they often have some weird movies that aren't in store. That devoted DVD looks ok, seems they have listed a lot of those B Grade movies I just love to buy, attempt to watch hoping to stay seated to the end and then wish I had never bought after seeing it Most seem to be 1-2 weeks order.. might order some when I get the urge. |

| Posted: | | | | Quoting cvermeylen: Quote: My sincere apologies for hijacking your thread. No problem. The 'postage' JB charged you seems a little high, considering you shouldn't have paid GST (tax) so DVD $22 postage $16? I'm almost tempted to post a dvd to germany to see what the post office charge. |
