what should be the images for this set...

It is a pure cube.  When shipped, there was a thin cardboard wrap has the UPC.  It was adhered to the box and wrapped the bottom, what I assume would be the back and a small tab that came over the top opening.

Any Suggestions

Just from this view, I would say the top should be the front.  Is there anything on the back side or on the bottom?

The box itself has

An profile image of Katniss Everdeen on the drop flap
A profile image of Gale Hawthorne on the left
A profile Image of Peeta Mellark on the right

The top and the back have "The Hunger Games" logo

The bottom is blank white with rating and basic copy right info

Pictured below are images of the wrap Cardboard adhered to the box (1 continuous, my scanner isn't long enough

The Next question.  If the front is the one with the flap (with the carboard attached), any suggestions on scanning one face of a cube?

Charlie

P.S.  I guess the back image should be the one with the UPC (actually on the bottom)?

Seeing those, I agree--changing my opinion from before.

From your scans I'd say the Back is what you labeled the back.

There are many cases where the UPS# is on the bottom, but we don't scan those and say it's the back.

The front, I'd say, is the one where the flap comes down over and has the woman on it.

I have a rather different opinion - and I guess I'll be a minority, but I'll express it anyway...

The cube doesn't have any obvious front, and it has been argued in other cases (no pun intended) that the front should be "what you see in the store". Therefore I would argue that the best "front" representation would be something like this:

I have no reeal opinion on what should be the "back". Same as front would work for me.

@GSyren,

Nice. Now that's thinking out of the box.  But you obviously would need a digital snapshot, not a scan.

Would also need to get an exception from Ken... since the rules states you can only use front and back covers only... so any 3D shots such as this showing more then 1 side at a time is against the rules as they are written now.

I know without an exception from Ken I would vote no to such a thing.

I'll agree with that as a 'front' and for the back - the image which Charlie has marked as the 'back'.

I think we are allowed some common sense in order to choose what improves the repsentation of the set in the database.

I wouldn't do anything that isn't per the rules for anything I contribute or vote on. In my eyes... the only one that can bypass any of the rules as they are written is Ken and Gerri.

So I would absolutely vote no to such a thing.

From the perspective of the beneficiary of the great efforts of contributors, I agree with this idea.

If the rules are clear, follow them. If the rules are ambiguous, either do something which makes sense or get a ruling, or both.

I would think the owner of the database would appreciate adhering to the "spirit" of the rules when the the "letter" leads to an inferior result, or a result that is less beneficial to users.

Please forgive the intrusion of a guy who has bumbled every attempt at making a contribution, so what do I know ...

I had the same problem with the Futurama: Complete Collection (Bender Head) UPC 024543-617631, so I just took a picture from one angle and one of the full back. It was accepted.
