Finland is part of the company name. Grouping all companys from a business group doesnt sound that bad. But if you remove Finland from the name, it becomes Universal Pictures, which is a studio not a distributing company. Universal Home Entertainment or Universal Studios Home Entertainment would be the distributor.

You certainly have a valid point there, but now that we have the distributor field, we can still make that distinction.

In my opinion, it's both.

I disagree, at least in Finland it should be Universal Pictures Finland or Universal Pictures depending how the rule will tell us. Neather one of those distributors you mentioned above exist in Finland, since the official name of the company is Universal Pictures Finland Oy (http://www.filmikamari.fi/page.php?id=19)

In future, I hope we will get a version of DVDP where distributor field is separated from studios and we can do separate search on it. At that moment same studio and distibutor names doesn't matter.

I do NOT second that, because the country suffix is part of the company name.
e.g. in Germany it's "Universal Pictures Germany GmbH" so "Universal Pictures Germany" is the correct entry for the Profiler-DB
´

I disagree, but we'll see how it goes when the rules update goes public. Now we can only guess and hope that common sence will win and we loose the country indicator (even when it is a part of company name).

that has nothing to do with common sense but with your personal preferences

We'll see how it goes for final rules, but I really hope that we don't end up using 'em.

The new rules will probably get online when 3.5 is released, so ill wait for that.
Is "Universal Home Entertainment" not the "Media Publisher"?
