| Posted: | | | | You axed for it! ¹ The crappy weather hasn't actually arrived yet, but I couldn't keep my fingers off the keyboard! There's a really severe snowstorm in the mountains in the north of Sweden, but the worst should blow over before it comes down here to Stockholm. Always something to be grateful for. Anyway, not only have I changed the textblocks in the Info tab to readonly textboxes so they can be copied, I also discovered that I had defined a field for the show poster, but never populated that field. So that has been corrected as well. Wanted! More users like Zappman! ² When someone asks for an enhancement, I know that there is at least one other user besides me that actually uses my program. That's always gratifying. So here is version 1.7.1! ¹ ² If you're in my generation, maybe you'll understand the influence that Famous Monster of Filmland had on me when I was a teenager. I'm pretty sure that editor Forrest J Ackerman (no period after the J) was the one who introduced the phrase "You axed for it", and he frequently displayed reader photos with the caption "Wanted! More readers like [name]". And by the way, Forry is also supposed to be the one who came up with "Sci-Fi" for Science Fiction. Trivia much? | | | My freeware tools for DVD Profiler users. Gunnar |

| Posted: | | | | Hi Gunnar, thanks for the update to TmdbTvShowCheck 1.7.1 WOW that was fast! In the info tab, I can "copy & paste" from the top group of "text blocks" and the "overview block". In a future version of TmdbTvShowCheck, it would be nice to be able to "copy & paste" from the "Genres" and "Production companies" boxes. And with the new poster feature, it would be so cool to be able to either copy the "poster image" or "poster URL" into the clip board, as I like to put posters in my Profile galleries. |

Those are tricker, I'm afraid, since they are listboxes. I'll see if there is an easy way to do it. Poster URL ought to be doable. I'll look into it. | | | My freeware tools for DVD Profiler users. Gunnar |

| Posted: | | | | Hi "The Lightning Developer!" , thanks for the update to TmdbTvShowCheck 1.7.2 WOW that was even faster! Being able to "copy image" and "copy image url" is so cool For Production companies: When TmdbTvShowCheck 1.7.2 finds only "one" company: I can use the TmdbTvShowCheck copy function to copy the "single company". I can then paste the "single company" into the studios box in DVD profiler. When TmdbTvShowCheck 1.7.2 finds more than "one" company: I can use the TmdbTvShowCheck copy function to copy the "companies". When I do the paste of the "companies" into the studios box in DVD profiler, the "first company" listed in the group of companies is pasted into DVD Profiler . (To paste the 2nd or 3rd company into DVD Profiler, I use Windows "Notepad" as an intermediary) I did not realize that "DVD Profiler" won't let us paste a "Genre" . (TmdbTvShowCheck does copy them) |

| Posted: | | | | OK, I gave it one more spin. Now version 1.7.3. I changed the companies list into a textbox so you can copy the names individually right there. I removed "copy genres" and "copy companies" context menu since they don't fill a function. Let me know if there is anything else that you (or anyone else) can think of. I'm always happy to listen to new ideas, even if I cannot guarantee to always be able to implement them. | | | My freeware tools for DVD Profiler users. Gunnar |

| Posted: | | | | Hi Gunnar, thanks for the update to TmdbTvShowCheck 1.7.3 I verified that I can "copy & paste" any company shown on the Info Tab In the TmdbTvShowCheck help file in the "Prolog" section it says: "This program fetches TV show information from The Movie Database (TMDb), and also lets you copy cast and crew for inclusion in a DVD Profiler profile." Since the features of the TmdbTvShowCheck program have been greatly expanded, seems like this could use an update. Here is a possible, proposed update (to include when the next program enhancement is made) : "This program fetches TV show information from The Movie Database (TMDb), and also lets you copy cast, crew, episode lists and more for inclusion in a DVD Profiler profile." |

| Posted: | | | | Doh! I just realized that the automatic copy of episode info (for use in EpisodeCheck) had the same encoding problem that I fixed for episode names in cast/crew back in version 1.5. Fixed now in version 1.7.4, so special characters in episode names will be correctly imported in EpisodeCheck. Wondering what I'm talking about? Well, when you select a season in TmdbTvShowCheck, the episode info is automatically copied to the clipboard in XML format, so you can import them into EpisodeCheck with File/Get data from clipboard. | | | My freeware tools for DVD Profiler users.
