| Posted: | | | | Im afraid I'm sharing the same sentiments as DeanONH.
I may not have been a premium customer for quite as long, but I still go back to 2005 when dvd profiler was published under the company name "InterVocative Software"
I have a personal android and a work iPhone, I even went to the extent of buying the software for the iPhone but I dont like the iPhone and avoid carrying it around, so when I need the software I have left it at home.
So for me I think it might be time to start looking at the alternatives again. |

| Posted: | | | | i would also like to have an android-version of dvd profiler. at least i would use it to see if i already have a dvd when i am in a shop staring at my handy.
so please develop an application for android.
if you don't plan to do so: would it be allowed to write an android-app that is able to import some information from an xml-export-file of dvd profiler and to use this information for display or comparision in this app? | | | always look on the bright side of life ... |

It has already been announced that an android version is in development. Unfortunately there is no guessing how long it takes, and from both the previous iPhone and Windows Mobile versions, it appears the time is unfortunately meassured in years (but then, aren't we already years into the waiting time)? I have developed a collection viewer for both Windows Mobile and Windows Phone 7. I am sure Ken is aware of this (I mentioned it on a forum post he replied to) and does not appear to have any problem with it - and if he did, I am not really sure he can do anything from a legal point of view. I simply stopped distributing the mobile version once Ken released his, and plan to do the same with the WP7 app if he realease a version in the future. If you go down this route, you might want to have a look at a couple of plugins I made - InstantExport automatically maintains the XML export file. Restifier allows you to retrieve the XML directly from a web service hosted in DVD Profiler. | | | Regards Lars |

| Posted: | | | | Andoid has a market share of 43% compare to Iphone 18%. It is in the best interest of this company to get an Android version of DVD Profiler as soon as possible. Also Google just bought Motorola Mobility. |

| Posted: | | | | You don´t have to add me to the list no more. I have switched to another program for movie collectorz which has a PC and an android version. They are not cheap, but the mobile version is way better than what I ever have seen on my windows mobile |

Please. Why focusing on another dead OS? Hint: Ice Cream Sandwich. Honeycomb has been stopped at 3.2. | | | |

I only use moviecollector as 'backup' for dvdprofiler and to import data in their app for andoid. |

| Posted: | | | | Talking about mobile versions, there is no competition for Moviecollector. Concerning the desktop versions: It's a matter of taste. I only use the desktop version to maintain my portable collection. All I need is a title, year, cover image and a plot summary. Moviecollector offers that and much more. |
