| Posted: | | | | I would go along with the child profiles automatically downloaded as being a big one for me, but another one that I have not seen mentioned is the ability to have multiple copies of the same UPC/Locality, I just hit the problem with a boxset where I have one if its child's as a duplicate of a title I have already got as a separate entry

For the vast majority of people that hardly ever use these (based on the HUGE difference between the number of votes I get on parent and child TV-profiles, I'd say that's at least 90% of the users) it would be quite annoying to have to delete them every time. I would like this feature being implemented, though, but preferably in the form of some kind window popping up when you select a profile for download, saying something along the lines of: "There are child profiles attached to this profile - download these as well?", and then being able to choose yes or no. |

| Posted: | | | | Sounds good to me Tim... I personally use them all so either way would be cool for me. But a pop-up would be best for all around.
Though I would suggest something slightly different. In addition to the pop-up... something in options to check off to automatically download child profiles for those of us that do always use them. | | | Pete |

Yep, I totally agree. An automatic download of child profiles for TV series would be a major annoyance for me. I would like to have it for movie box sets, though. Maybe an option to treat TV series and movie sets differently would be a good idea here. | | | Michael | | | Last edited: by TigiHof |

Split Trailers Feature... Have both "Feature Trailer" and "Promo Trailer" so that we know when the trailer is for the actual feature on the disc or if it is just a bunch of promos they want to push you to buy. | | | Pete |

One dataset for every movie is sufficient for this, with an little exception: if there is a difference, maybe a different cast list for a directors cut or a foreign release (e.g. additional voice actors for an animation movie), we need the chance to enter the different data. | | | Never argue with an idiot. Another good one. Current situation is very annoying in this case. I would be even content with a contribution rules change so that only trailers for the main feature are allowed, as this is IMHO the more interesting part. |

And that is something I... and other people I know would be against. There is those of us that the promo trailers are just as important... if not more important then the trailer for the feature. | Posted: | | | | One of the things I'd like is to be able to list music/songs on a movie/tv series episode.
So, song name, performer, composer etc. To me I'd rather have this than all the crew stuff. But that's probably just me.
Wouldn't also say no, to having a colour/b&w indicator, audio bit rates, and with the HD format the video encoding format.
As I order 99.9999% of my dvd's online, I'd love to have more date fields available. So I can have order date, ship date, and date it arrived. Although all of that could fall under having 'customisable fields' which I'd love even more.
And 1 last thing. Can we have the cast/crew headshots not stored in the database, but as files in a directory please. Would make it easier to manage. At least for me. | | | Home of the phpDVDProfiler forums |

Color/B&W indicator would be cool too... but think you would also need colorized... and maybe mixed. Quote: As I order 99.9999% of my dvd's online, I'd love to have more date fields available. I was thinking about this the other day, and I'm somewhat surprised that nobody has confessed to tagging the different colour systems (is that what they're called?). e.g. Technicolor, Agfafilm, etc. I currently tag my B&W films, and although I'd be happy enough to see this included in 3.5, I'd probably continue tagging as I've done with CoO. Skip, I think Addicted2DVD is referring to promo trailers in the sense of trailers for similar/related/released by the same distro company material. | | | Adelaide Movie Buffs (info on special screenings, contests, bargains, etc. relevant to Adelaideans... and contests/bargains for other Aussies too!) | | | Last edited: by W0m6at |

Skip Trailers for movies other then for the feature of the DVD. So... like the movie Hostel has trailers for... * When a Stranger Calls * Silent Hill * Underworld: Evolution * The Cave * The Exorcism of Emily Rose * Boogeyman * Ring Around the Rosie * The Fog (Remake) ...So promo trailer would be checked... but Feature Trailer would not (no trailer for Hostel). | | | Pete | | | Last edited: by Addicted2DVD |
