| Posted: | | | | Only one wish, hu!? That Ken goes through EVERY single feature request in the forum AND respond with ... something! Every "wish" in this thread is good! My wishes for the application and the local db: - Ability to apply a filter onto any field. - CRUD on any field. - Apply a customizable colour schema on the collection list-row based on a field chosen by the user. - Sort capabilities on all fields. - Download a complete set (whatever that may be) with option to select which child profiles to include in the download. - Ability to add a second list that is local only to a restricted field such as Genres, Audio a.s.o. maybe even the ability to share that list with fellow profilers. My wish for the application with intention to contribute a profile: - Audit functionality complete with a tickbox, datetime-field and note-field per database field (excellent place to apply the contribution rules, me thinks ). My wish for the application when I am contributing a profile: - Only fully audited profiles should be allowed to be uploaded. - Upload a complete set. For the site: - bugzilla. but if one wish is all I get I'll have to go with filters. |

Before anyone posts an answer to this, I suggest he should consider if he wants to turn this useful thread into another pointless flame war. Thank you!
The thread is useful, and The_Light's wish is one of the most pertinent. The thread is useful, but The_Light's wish has absolutely nothing to do with improvements to be added to 3.5. If the topic were "If you have one request to improve these forums what would it be...?" The_Light's wish might be pertinent. However, as the thread is about improvements for version 3.5 of Profiler (and not the forums), The_Light's comments are inappropriate and TigiHof is correct to point it out and request that people stay on topic. Answer me one question. To be a member of the Skippy fanclub is it your responsiblity to NOT completely read/understand someone else's comments? The improvements I wished for in 3.5 was that the programmer actually have time to program 3.5 and not waste their time making forum changes to help appease the masses of the troll. Quote:
Do that, then the time wasted on a worthless reputation system, forum blocks and whatever else is planned could be better used to work on the actual program. Therefore a "pertinent" request. Helping the forum would just be an added bonus. I know you think that this 'request' might be derailing an otherwise useful thread. But just think how many other useful threads will be saved if the troll was eliminatated. Show me one other thread that was locked that either the troll wasn't a part of or the topic of to make this request invalid? |

| Posted: | | | | A new type of divider
The reason for this is so that we don't mix apples and oranges like we do now with group roles and episodes using the same kind of divider
The new divider should be for group roles and should be presented in the cast list as the rest of the cast/crew list (without the blue background). The people belonging to that group should be indented (just like child profiles are in the profile list) | | | The colour of her eyes, were the colour of insanity |

| Posted: | | | | Wish for the PC-version would be: An installoption to install on USB-memory. To run the program complettly from it, regardless of the driveletter it gets on different machines-
Wish for the Mobile-version would be: Be able to use and edit tags and notes | | | "Hope I didn't take up too much of your time." Amos Hart - Chicago | | | Last edited: by Knasen69 |

More fields searchable/filterable (particularly locations) Make tags a condition in reports
Would also love to be able to add a location immediately after adding a disc without having to close the dialog and re-open it. Oooh thought of a couple more; Custom lists, atm I'm using the ordered list for my TV series and owned for everything else but this is not ideal because the profiles in the ordered list cannot have collection numbers. And yes I know I could use multiple databases but for me switching between them takes too long. And cosmetics-wise, I'd love to have a few more colour schemes (in particularly deep red/burgandy to match my HTML window and collection list. And finally (probably ) the ability to remove all panel handles. | | | Last edited: by MarEll |

Ken should take a good look at the pdpdvdprofiler and how it's done right. |

I have multiple lists using phpdvdprofiler. (See the link at the bottom of my post) I have 11 custom lists on top of the standard 3 so far | | | Paul | | | Last edited: by pauls42 |

| Posted: | | | | Maybe not for 3.5, but for 4.0: A complete database redesign to get a relational (following the rules!!) database design to clean up with the multiple profile and multiple person problems.

Are you talking about the online or local collection? I'm talking local... I know you are talking local - but it isn't possible to do it local - thats why I brought up the online alternative. If you click on the link then you will see that it is online. | | | Paul | | | Last edited: by pauls42 |

| Posted: | | | | Right gotcha. I'm after the ability to do it locally, hence the request I've had a play about with phpdvdprofiler, its not for me. |
