I feel your pain!    The eyesight, the using the TV for 4K discs, the tragic loss you have suffered.

In my local database I collect details (writers and performers) for all of the music that's used in films etc.  As so many stage names and other naming anomalies crop up, this can take a long time, especially for very obscure artists.  (And nearly always in an extra tiny font that even in HD can still be blurry when magnified.) Even now, years later, I can remember spending what my memory now considers "forever" profiling a film on DVD that had over 50 bits of music credited as used in it, mostly by hip-hop / rap artists, most of whom were not well known, many of whom had multiple stage names. Then I did something that resulted in my losing all the information.

I'm pretty sure my brain has purposefully blocked out the details of this catastrophe (I can't even remember what film it was now) to prevent me from suffering permanent psychological damage. Even now when I go through this profiling process, I sit worrying how often I should save what I've typed in vs the extra time doing this a lot would use up.  It's like the mouse is being dragged towards the Cancel Button, which itself gets bigger and bigger the more records I've inputted but not yet saved, whilst the Save & Close one itself shrinks until it's the size of one pixel and sneakily hides behind the former! It sounds completely stupid but I'm pretty sure it's true. 

If you make sure that "Automatically lock all changed items" is checked at the bottom of the Edit window, your data should be safe.

See, I thought it was. Think what happened was, a year or so ago, I had to re-install DVDP and that option was unchecked and I never thought about it.

I'll probably sit down and re-do the cast/crew later today.
