What I have learned what you can do is this. When the time comes that the most common credited name of "Tobias Krause" becomes "Tobias Krause-Rüdiger", do not rename the actor "Tobias Krause" to "Tobias Krause-Rüdiger". Instead create a second entry "Tobias Krause-Rüdiger". Now select "Tobias Krause-Rüdiger" on the left side and the "Tobias Krause" credit on the right side and press CTRL. Then the "Replace" button becomes a "Global Replace" button. When you do this, all "Tobias Krause" credits will become "Tobias Krause-Rüdiger" [as "Tobias Krause"]. If you have a cast image in your database though, you will have to copy it over to the "new" cast member as well. Also note: Quoting AiAustria: Quote: Addendum: - The profile, on which you are executing the replace, should list the name only once, since other appearances in the same profile are not replaced (therefore TV shows are bad starting points) - immediatly after the replace the profile should be saved (there are some minor bugs in this feature).
Now you can remove the actor "Tobias Krause" because it has no more assigned profiles. See here as well. |
