Kill Bill: The Whole Bloody Affair - 1 film across 2 discs |

| | Posted: | | | | So I just got the Lionsgate Limited version of Kill Bill: The Whole Bloody Affair. The release comes with 4 discs--2 UHDs and 2 Blu-rays, each containing the full movie spread across two discs. I don't recall seeing this before so I'm not sure how to profile it?
Would you take each disc in the given format and profile them like their own "movie" (the discs for each format are labeled Disc I and Disc II)? This would mean separate running times, etc. FWIW, there are special features on Disc I of each format but nothing on Disc II. Also would this then be treated like a box set with the main profile basically empty and individual discs with their child profiles? |

| | Posted: | | | | For those who want to profile the 'second media format' as a box set entry, then I would just add one child profile to the main 'box set': the disc ID of the first blu-ray, and add both bluray disc IDs to that disc info field.
I have a bunch of blu-ray/DVD sets, and I'm not using the box set function to profile the different media formats, so for the Kill Bill release I would just have one barcode profile and 4 discs IDs in the disc info field. | | | | Last edited: by marcelb7 |

The new Kill Bill film was just a director's cut of Kill Bill: Vol. 1 and Kill Bill: Vol: 2 combined, with some new scenes, extended scenes and deleted scenes (like the cliffhanger scene at end of Vol. 1 and the recap at the start of Vol. 2).
Just treat the release as a 4K/Blu combo set for a single film and add the the 4K discs in the disc info section as "Main Feature - Disc 1" and "Main Feature - Disc 2", the 4K run time will be the total run time of both 4K discs.
Adding the child Blu-ray to the box set contents of the 4K profile is tricky, so marcelb7's suggestion of adding the Disc 1 Blu-ray ID only to the 4K profile has some merit. You would have to configure the child Blu-ray Disc 1 profile (but add both Blu-ray disc IDs into that profile).
Alternately, you could configure both Blu-ray discs but the title would have to have a suffix like Title - Disc 1 and Title - Disc 2 and then add both disc profiles to the 4K box set contents. This would be my preference.
