Just a question about a box set containing all seasons of a TV series, where each season is packaged in its own keep case (and thus can be added as individual child profiles):

In the main/parent profile:

When adding the complete cast and crew to the main/parent profile, as per the rules...
Quote:
the cast and crew are to be entered into the parent profile using appropriate episode dividers.

ALTERNATIVE 1
... do I make separate "Series" episode dividers like this:

Divider - Season 1
Divider - 1.
Cast/crew info ep.1
Divider - 2.
Cast/crew info ep.2
etc.
Divider - Season 2
Divider - 1.
Cast/crew info ep.1
Divider - 2.
Cast/crew info ep.2
etc.
Divider - Season 3
Divider - 1.
Cast/crew info ep.1
etc.

OR

ALTERNATIVE 2
... should I NOT use "Series Episode Dividers", but instead only dividers between actual episodes? If so, do I then name these episodes to reflect both season number and episode number, like this:

Divider - 1.1.
Cast/crew info for for season 1, episode 1
Divider - 1.2.
Cast/crew info for for season 1, episode 2
etc.
Divider - 2.1
Cast/crew info for for season 2, episode 1
etc.

OR

ALTERNATIVE 3
...do I simply add all episodes of all the seasons together, so that if there for example are 6 episodes in season 1 and 6 episodes in season 2, then episode 1 of season 2 should be called Episode 7, etc.?

Divider - 1.
Cast/crew info for for season 1, episode 1
Divider - 2.
Cast/crew info for for season 1, episode 2
etc.
Divider - 7.
Cast/crew info for for season 2, episode 1
etc.

Same thing for the disc ID descriptions in the main/parent profile:

ALTERNATIVE 1
Disc  Description
# 1  Season 1: Episodes 1-3
# 2  Season 1: Episodes 4-6
# 3  Season 2: Episodes 1-3
etc.

OR

ALTERNATIVE 2
Disc  Description
# 1  Episodes 1.1-1.3
# 2  Episodes 1.4-1.6
# 3  Episodes 2.1-2.3

OR

ALTERNATIVE 3
Disc  Description
# 1  Episodes 1-3
# 2  Episodes 1-6
# 3  Episodes 7-9

IMHO, none of the above. The rules say:

Quote:
In rare cases where multiple Complete TV Series are packaged together, the Box-set rules can be applied, treating each series like a single film - applying the above rules for it’s individual profile.

That would mean you do NOT enter any cast/crew data into the parent profile, but instead make child profiles for each of the seasons/series.

This would indeed save me a LOT of work... Does this mean it is ok to delete existing cast from the main/parent profile after adding child profiles?
