| Posted: | | | | Just installed 3.0.3.
Had manually installed three DVD's while Site was down.
Wanted to updtae information for these DVD's
Highlighted DVD (e.g. Smokin Aces) and went to Online>Refresh DVD from Invelos>refresh profile and images. I get a 'Can not download file error'. This happens if I try to refersh profiles or profiles and images. It does not happen if I only refresh images so I suspect the problem is with the profiles.
I assume this means that there is no profile for that DVD yet?? Is that correct? |

It is possible that the server was too busy when you tried. The best way to update a single profile is to use the dl icon from the profile itself...that is how I did it. | | | No dictator, no invader can hold an imprisoned population by force of arms forever. | Posted: | | | | I am experiencing the same issue. If the DVD is not in the database I can enter without error. However, when I attempted to enter two movies that are in the database, (So, I Married An Axe Murderer and American Pie: Band Camp) I receive the error message. Then when I attempt to look at it in the database it tells me the entry is damaged and do I want to delete it. Does this mean my whole database is damaged or just the files I am trying to add. I also added DVD's during the down time, but I added them to 2.5 Beta and then used the restore database function to move over the newly added movies. |

I don't think that should be the case with version 3 as it updates more regularly. It could be a truly broken profile, there were one or two of those in V2 also. | | | IVS Registered: January 2, 2002 |

I click add now and it acts like it is going to download then I get the normal progress bar. When it is do the profile for So, I Married An Axe Murder I get the red X and it asks me to continue anyway. Band camp acts as if it downloaded fine, but when you click on the profile it says it is damaged and asks to delete it. Thanks for everyones help I really do appreciate it. |

Thanks for everyones help I really do appreciate it. That sounds like connection problems - do other profiles download OK? Also, have you got manual versions of these dvds in your database? It may be worth your while removing them and adding them as new rather than trying to update them to the online version. |

| Posted: | | | | Hi all,
I am experiencing the same problem with version 3.0.3 build 1126. I have imported a 2.4 database (free version - I have obviously since purchased 3.0 unlimited) and also run a DB repair. Some profiles (5-10%) that were automatically added via UPC number in the 2.4 version do not refresh either cover or profile. I get the Download Error message. The majority of profiles update fine, and it is always the same profiles that do NOT update, even after restarting the program.
Now, is this simply because not all profiles from the 2.4 online database are merged in to 3.0 yet? If so, should I simply give it time, OR upload new profiles using the existing data I have from the old profiles + new cover scans? (the real object of me updatng my profiles is better covers).
Also, a bug report: after the program has been open for a while, DVD > Change UPC brings up random UPC numbers and not the DVD you are wanting to update. Closing and reopening the program resolves this. |
