  | | Posted: | | | | Greetings all.  There was supposed to be a collector's edition of Lawrence of Arabia released on May 8.  I don't think it was released.  Amazon says unavailable, buy.com has a release date of 1/1/2037 (I don't want to wait that long), and I there's nothing at Best Buy or Circuit City.  Any one have any info on this or know the reason for the delay?
(FWIW, I bought 3.0 earlier this week after using 2.whatever for a long time.  As the risk of sounding like I'm sucking up, what a fantastic piece of software this is.  It's been 4 or 5 days, and I already fell like I've received my money's worth.  Of course, my family hasn't seen me ...)

I notice that DVD Empire just says "Coming Soon" now. |

  | | Posted: | | | | Well, it's funny that it originally was supposed to be out in March, then slipped to May, and now no place has a street date on it. Sounds like a studio/distributor problem, I think. |

  | | Posted: | | | | Why do another standard DVD transfer? I'm hoping they release it in Blu-ray or HD-DVD and give it the proper treatment and transfer. |

  | | Posted: | | | | Because still most people use standard DVD. And like me, some aren't rich enough to waste money on HD and BR.     |

  | | Posted: | | | | Bridge on the River Kwai was also supposed to be released but has seemingly disappeared.  I was looking forward to that one as I haven't bought any of the previous releases. |

  | | Posted: | | | | The dvdlist at Home Theater Info shows the following status for the films mentioned above as of 05/15/07:
Bridge on the River Kwai  -  Postponed Lawrence of Arabia          -  Postponed Guns of Navarone             -  Out Caine Mutiny                    -  Out
There's no indication why Bridge & Lawrence were postponed, though. | | | Another Ken (not Ken Cole) Badges? We ain't got no badges. We don't need no badges. I don't have to show you any stinking badges. DVD Profiler user since June 15, 2001 | | | |  Last edited: by kdh1949 |
