I experimented a bit more with these 2 problems I've had since 3.0 came out.  I think they are 2 separate problems but maybe they're linked, that's for Ken to find out.

Bug 1: The layouts do not save or do no load properly for the 2nd monitor.  The next 2 images illustrate that.

Image 1 - Right after finishing my layout, I had saved it but didn't reload or restarted DVDP.  Note that I'm using mixed resolutions so the big black bar at the bottom of the screen on the right is normal in the screen capture.

Image 2 - I exited DVDP and restarted it. As you can see the Overview box is bigger than what I had set in my layout.  Reloading the layout does the same thing.  I couldn't find anyway of making DVDP redisplay the layout the way I designed it.

Bug 2:  On the 2 pictures above, you see (with good eyes or glasses ) that the main window of the right hand side monitor had all its titles, eg: "Filters, Discs, Subtitles etc."  Now see what happens when I reload my layout.  The word "Filters" is gone, there's only a coma.  Note that from that point on, I can try to load any layout, including Invelos' ones and the word "Filters" still does not show up.  The only way to get it back is to exit the program and restart it.

This "Filters" word disappearing does not only happen when reloading, at a point I had to restart from scratch when creating my layout because I noticed it disappeared when I snapped another windows on the right edge, un fortunately I have been unable to reproduce this at will.  In my case it's not a big issue but if you have the filters sharing a window with something else, you can't click on the "Filters" tab because there's no text in it.

Not sure which one I would pick if I had to choose between losing my Dual mOnitor setup or half my collection

BTW: I found a way to reproduce the "Filters" word bug.  With this same Dual Monitor Layout, after starting DVD Profiler, if I double-click or drag any of the frames that make up the right hand side window (EG: Overview, Discs, Front Image, Back Image etc), it does it.

I’ve got a question on this subject if I may.  I’m sure it’s not a bug though, just my personal setup.  When adding a DVD or editing HTML the window stretches about halfway into my second monitor.  Is this because my resolution is 600x800 and the add window is a higher res?  That’s what I’ve assumed since I’ve been using this program.  It hasn’t been enough inconvenience to ever give it a second thought.  This post just reminded me about it.

What sort of video card are you using? I just confirmed the problem with an ATI card, but my home system used NVidia. I know that ATI multi-monitor support is a flakey compared to NVidia, so it may be a video card problem, rather than a program issue.

I have this problem on 2 computers, both ATI.  The nVidia geforce 6 in my HTPC supports dual monitors, if I have the time I'll hook a 2nd one this week-end and try it.

I don't use high resolution, too hard to read for my eyes.  As for the 2nd monitor I use a lower resolution for the same reason because it's a 15", no room on the desk to put two 17"
