I`ve allready done it. I removed the EAN completely from the first DVD.
Then tried to add the same DVD again. Still getting the message that
the DVD is already in my collection.
As far as I know in 2.X Version it was possible.

I have a couple of duplicates, gifts that I can't get rid of...other than tossing them  , in my collection with no problem. Same with box sets (child using Disc ID...standalone using UPC.) You can't have two EANs the same in your collection (as i'm sure you have found out) so the options are: 1) add something in the Notes field to say you have multile copies (basic) 2) add a tag called 'I have two' and set it for the EAN where this is the case (allows you to filter on this) 3) add the second one by Disc-ID - Add by EAN normally - Change EAN to be 'use disc-ID of disc in drive' (with the disc in the drive). IIRC it's the bottom command on the 'DVD' option (I don't have DVDP on this machine so can't check) - Add second one by EAN (since you've now overwritten the old EAN with the disc-ID there is no longer a conflict) 4) add the second using a 'dummy' EAN - As above bu Change EAN to be '0 000000 000001' or similar 5) add the second using a 'dummy' locality - As above but change Locality to "Somewhere rare" 6) Sell the copies on EBay and use the money to buy a disc you don't have  Of course in cases 3-5 NEVER contribute the data to the main database  | | | | It is dangerous to be right in matters where established men are wrong |
