The PC is connected to my 42" Plasma TV and Media Center can be configured to run in a specific resolution as opposed to all other programs who simply use the current one. With this setup, I can watch DVD's at 720p so basically my PC is now an upconverting dvd player  Why Vista ? SImply because media center changes the resolution when it starts but in windows XP it's not smart enough to set it back when exiting and at 720p I lose the task bar in windows.
