| Posted: | | | | When there is a profile update with changes to a cast or crew member with the "credited as" feature my local profiles will not change after accepting the updates. As an example: Fantastic 4: Widescreen Region 1 UPC# 024543-196037 Local Profile has Deejay Jackson as Chief Fireman Updated Profile has Dee Jay Jackson [Deejay Jackson] as Chief Fireman When I click on OK to accept the profile change, my local profile remains Deejay Jackson as Chief Fireman. There are no locks on this profile so I don't understand why the change won't take. This happens to all updated profiles with a "credited as" change. I then have to manually make the change myself. . Any ideas? | | | My WebGenDVD online Collection |

| Posted: | | | | Not sure if this is what's happening, but when you look at the cast list, it only displays the "credited as" name. If you select the specific actor, the details window shows the actual name. For example, all the Buffy profiles show Giles as played by Anthony Stewart Head, but when you select him, you are shown Anthony Head's details. Is this what is happening, or is the actor himself still called Deejay? |

We ain't got no badges. We don't need no badges. I don't have to show you any stinking badges. DVD Profiler user since June 15, 2001 |

| Posted: | | | | I know that. The names do not change at all. His name in the cast list is still Deejay/Jackson as it should be, but the name in the Cast Information box should change to the common name Dee/Jay/Jackson...it doesn't. They both still show Deejay Jackson after I accept the update. | | | My WebGenDVD online Collection |

| Posted: | | | | I'd have to try it, but actually this seems kind of cool...
The update says: the credits show the name Deejay Jackson
Your database says: the credits show the name Deejay Jackson
The program decides not to make a change, therefore your links are not broken.
I think if the name in your database was changed, you would either have other profiles with Deejay Jackson suddenly showing Dee Jay Jackson (hmmm, actually, unlikely to happen) or the link from the existing profile to the others would be broken, which is undesirable. However, it is definitely something we need to be aware of. | | | Achim [諾亞信; Ya-Shin//Nuo], a German in Taiwan. Registered: May 29, 2000 (at InterVocative) |

| Posted: | | | | I've just added this title and the credit shows up as it's designed to - Dee Jay credited as Deejay. I had both Deejay and Dee Jay in the database already, and it's linked to the Dee Jay name no problem. So I'm not sure what's going on with your profile, sorry. I don't know if you want to (I don't know how much info you'd lose), but have you tried removing and then re-adding the profile? |

| Posted: | | | | I just tested this as well. I downloaded the profile, changed the credit to Deejay Jackson as Chief Fireman and saved. I then refreshed the profile, accepted the change and the credit is now Dee Jay Jackson [Deejay Jackson] as Chief Fireman. I am not sure why you are having an issue. Quite odd. | | | No dictator, no invader can hold an imprisoned population by force of arms forever. There is no greater power in the universe than the need for freedom. Against this power, governments and tyrants and armies cannot stand. The Centauri learned this lesson once. We will teach it to them again. | Posted: | | | | This may be a daft suggestion - but you have checked to make sure the cast isn't locked at all? |
