The Special FX are awesome, but I really are starting to get used to that. The characters and the movie itself has 0% depth. Since I work in a theater I am glad that I did not had to pay any money to watch this big commercial for merchandise and other products.

The movie is what is... and for me it was entertaining.

Well that it was indeed...
It's a pop corn movie, the VFX were indeed very good, but waht Martin said, starting to get used to it. I really liked Megan Fox and Rachael Taylor

Yesterday I saw `Death Proof`, I really enjoyed that one...

Still not interested.  I'm waiting for the new 'Harry Potter' among others.

I'm with you; not at all interested. Not only does it destroy something I really enjoyed from my childhood but it looks cheesy, plotless and therefore pointless.

Besides, Optimus shouldn't look like a pimped-out Freightliner.

It was that "Must be Japanese" comment in the trailer, wasn't it?

No, it was the entire idea. Nothing about the entire formula excited me...

But to each their own.

Just saw it, and I loved it.  My 13-year-old son totally loved it - every time I glanced over at him, he had this HUGE smile on his face.

The plot was what you'd expect.  Humans were dragged into a conflict between two waring robot "clans".  Not much need for a plot there - and they did good with what they had to work with.

The special effects were top notch and there was a fair amount of actual good comedy - I laughed out loud quite a few times.  It was enough to even forgive the "It must be Japanese" comment.

All sooooooo true!

I heard/read something that it might be possible that they want to make a He-man movie, a new one (a better one). I think it'll be the same as with Transformers... it is not as you would remember.

I am actually looking forward to the next `Harry Potter`, and `Planet Terror` too...

Hopefully not a spoiler but they assumed their shapes by scanning vehicles.  Optimus happened to scan a pimped out Freightliner.  Or at least I think he did, the semi in question was only in view for a half second.
