Its a toss up between Dvd Profiler and Movie Label 2008. One thing I like about ML08 is the fact that it uses Amazon and IMDB.
The real question - why is the cover art in DVD Profiler so blurry? I know why, but why are the preview images so small? Where is it getting them from?
Also, what database is used to pull all these records from when I add my movies? |

The database used is a user database - that is, each user of the program can submit profiles and amendments to profiles. |

| | Posted: | | | | On the old site there used to be a sample cover image to show you what registered users have access to, but I can't seem to find it anymore. Anyway, what you get when you pay is much better than what you see with the free version. They're roughly 500x700 in the registered version.
The data itself isn't pulled from any other database. It's user built meaning that what you find in our database has been contributed by us. If you choose this product, you'll be able to update the data and submit it yourself (assuming it follows the contribution rules). Quality of the found data sucks as expected when sources like Amazon and imdb are used. Data for all DVDs I added was incomplete or even totally wrong (wrong language). DVD Profiler is by far the better tool (moreover, its cheaper  ) |

| | Posted: | | | | I took a look at Movie Label 2008 as well and it blows chunks...primarily because it scrapes data from IMDb...and when I say scrape, it's bottom of the barrel. As detlefs stated the info was incomplete and for the most part flat out "where the hell did that come from" wrong.

If you think "it's a toss up" between Movie Label 2008 and DVD Profiler, then you need to "DrinkLess" cool-aid!
There is no comparison!
