Greetings!

I have been running the FREE v2.4 from Intervocative for quite some time now.
I've recently learned about the new v3.0 from Invelos.

I've downloaded and installed v3.0 on a NEW PC.
I did a backup from v2.4 and restore on v3.0  The restore was a success.

However, when I try to upload my collection, it would ask me that since my collection has more than 50 titles, that I want to try to upload the first 50 titles as a trial first.  I click NO.

I've done this multiple times, yet I am still not seeing my collection online.

Any help is greatly appreciated.  Thanks.

you have to click YES to upload it and then you will only get the 1st 50 titles.

The free version is now limited to 50 titles for the online. If you want your whole collection online you will have to pony up the $30.00.

There is also some loss of features (you probably haven't noticed yet) with the program itself unless you pay for it.

graffixx,
If you really own more than 50 DVD's it's strongly recommended to upgrade by registering to the premium version. In comparison to the value of your DVD's the amount for this is "peanuts"

Thanks for the reply.  I will most likely purchase a key after reviewing the "new" product.

Even when I click YES, just to get the 50 titles uploaded...it's not working.

I get the following screen that says "Registration or Subscription Required - Your DB now contains more then 50 titles and you haven't yet entered a registration key.  To upload, one of the following is required:

1.  DVD profiler regisration key
2.  Current DVD profiler online subscription

I have an old v2.4 FREE key.  Should I enter that in?  If so, where would I do that?
I thought I have a DVD profiler online subscription?

No, the FREE key from InterVocative will not help.

If you like the new program version, just pay the registration fee (it's a one-time fee!) and all will be working again.

As "free user" with more than 50 profiles you cannot use the My Profiler feature.

Clicking "Yes" probably won't do anymore, since you already stated you do not want to run the trial version. If you already used 2.4 for some time and were happy with it, take the other users' word for it: 3.0 is well worth the US-$ 30.00, the features you can't test yet are great, support and updates are excellent, and, if your collection is larger than 50 titles, you either have to buy the premium registration or stick with a limited product. The free 3.0 version is inferior to the 2.4 version once your collection exceeds 50 titles and continue to run the free version with the disabled features.

So, in a nutshell: buy the key and join the party

as I understand -
if you are using the free version (with less than 50 titles) but using all the features to try it out then you can upload.
if you have more than 50 titles then the program disables some features (one feature of which is uploading dvds to the online database).

(There was an inuitial bug which allowed free users to load their profiles up to the online database if they had more than 50 dvds. But this was fixed some time ago).

The dvd profiler online look/feel hasn't changed much from the old v2.4 - or you can look at anoy of our collections.
(note the phpdvdprofiler web page below is something we have created separate from invelos offering - that is found by clicking on the dvd symbol at the top right of posts)

The new version 3 program doesn't use any key for free users. The only key is when you buy a license.

Thanks for clearing this out, as I was finding misinformation on whether you can upload the first 50 titles to the online subscription.
