I found a plugin on a Dutch forum which can be used to "create statistics based on Directors, Writers and Cast Members".

The plugin can be download on this site: http://www.bittersweetlife.nl/

Any personal messages towards the author can be send here.

Very useful. I'll write to the author to thank him. I think stats on composer would also be interesting.

Hi,

I'm the author of that little tool. Just wanted to drop a line to say that the stats tool was just a try-out. Some Dutch people on the above mentioned forum were saying they wanted stats of their profile. I had already put together some of the code that I used for the plugin, so I thought I'd put it online for them...

This weekend I'll put some real time in it, to:

- increase performance as much as possible (that is still lacking )
- add other stats (DTS tracks, composers)
- add a progress bar when generating stats (this has much to do with item 1 in this list )

I'll post it here when I've uploaded a new version...
I make love in theory and touch myself in practice.

pretty cool pluggin - i'd recommend being able to search for names in the window, scrolling through to find one person is a bit difficult.

This will be in the next version. It will allow you to search for any name combination you'd like. IE searching for Bruce will result in Bruce Willis and Bruce Campbell, search for Bruce Willis or Willis Bruce and it will probably result in only Bruce Willis...

Right now I've added stats on Composer, Editor and Audio as well as a search functionality,  performance enhancements and some other minor bug fixes...

I'm hoping to release a new version tomorrow or monday.

I would recommend starting your own "New Plugin: <name>" thread where you can keep the first post updated with infos about your latest version. I will link to it in the pinned "Available Plugins" thread.

It would also be interesting to have the possibility of copying the result as a text form, to use in word or excel.
Don't know if it is possible, or easy...

Asphyxion, great little tool so far! Looking forward to further improvements

BTW, the episode dividers show up in the Cast stats as actors without name, maybe that can be weeded out?

Hi Martin,

The author does not intend to liberate in plugin the impression of the result? Exists some form?

Say what? I do not understand what you mean. Maybe you could try to refrase the question.

Ok

It would be possible to print the result of the statistics? How to modify plugin?

It is not possible to print the results at this time. There is a copy button in the latest version, which will allow you to copy the top 10 results to the clipboard.

I might be misunderstanding, but it is not possible to modify the plugin. The author Asphyxion has mentioned that he will expand the plugin; I am sure you can make requests (if they will find their way in the plugin will be up to the author).

Hi,

I don't think printing will be implemented anytime soon, but exporting to XML, CSV or HTML will be.

Other things are higher on my priority list, but exporting will be implemented 2 or 3 versions after the current one, printing after that.

Any further discussions can be held here. I think this topic can be closed...
