Hi

I bought Misery and when adding the UPC code I get Misery Gold Edition wihch includes a booklet. My version does not and has a completely different cover.

How can I add my version of the DVD into the DVD?
I can only accept the Gold Edition when adding new DVD.

Thanks for your help!

At this time you can only have 1 release per UPC. And the rules state that the first release is what is to be in the database.

If yours is a re-release all you can do is add the disc that is in the database and change it locally and then lock it.

if the disc id is different - you should be able to add it by disc ID

I would guess the disc is the same for these re-issues. The art on disc might change but will probably have same ID coming from the same master.
The covers will get new artwork (usually for the worst) and booklets get taken away. Ahhh the great world of cheap re-issues.

Like addicted said, you can customize it properly in your local, but can't change it for your online profile.

I did ask in the features request forum for the ability to have more than one profile per UPC/Disc ID i think this is a limitation of the programme with DVD's having been around so long you are bound to get loads of reissues i have quite a few profiles i would like to contribute but can't.

Here is what i have done.  Take the old profile.  Change the UPC to the disk ID.  Techniclly it is the same as the other one.  I then changed the art to the new art, and added the title to the data base.

Like i said, the disk IDs are the same.  You might look up the disk you have by Title.  Check out any that do not have a upc, but have a disk ID instead.  Disk IDs, can be under more then one UPC.

Others may have done the same thing.
