I'm going to the Mirage hotel in Las Vegas on Sunday until Thursday for a conference (and possibly a little pleasure)   and I have a few items that I may purchase whilst I'm there. Can anyone please give me some tips where I can get the following (and a rough price would be handy):

1. Oppo 981 DVD Player
2. Toshiba HD DVD Player (not sure what model yet)
3. DVDs, HD-DVDs & Blu-Ray discs

Many Thanks.
Stuart

Having been to Las Vegas a few times on vacation you'll be hard pressed to find any of these items at  the stores or shopping malls located on The Strip.

My suggestion would be Best Buy (large electronic/DVD/CD/games store). The closest store to the Strip is at 3820 S. Maryland Parkway which would be about 10/15 min by cab from the Mirage. Have a look at their site (www.bestbuy.com) which should give you an idea of the prices and don't forget to factor in the added sales tax as well.

There's also a Target store near this Best Buy (on the corner of Maryland and Flamingo) which has good prices on new release DVD product.

Enjoy Vegas - it's a blast

Funny that someone not from the states provided the best advice...

but yes.... the strip shopping is not the place for this.... Best Buy would be the best bet for the discs and the Toshiba....

I believe the HD-A3 will be on a nice sale... if you want 1080p you'll need the HD-A30 tho...

best buy doesn't sell the oppo tho... not sure where you'd pick that up...
