Normally I don't complain, that is because for the majority under stand the rules regarding cover art scan. I contributed Slip Cover scan for Jumper UPC #02453519652. The current scans in the DB (while they are good, to be honest.) are of the keep case art. I currently have 14 yes and three no votes, the no votes just don't get it, I PM'd them individually about Slip cover vs. Keep Case scans, and still don't get it.
To everyone who understands I apologize for the rant.

For those unnamed three get a grip and Read The Rules.

Edit your contribution notes so as to point out the deliberate no votes against the slip cover scans and that the voters are in violation of the rules.

Make sure its bolded as well so as to make screener/s aware.

Rory,

Is the slip cover lenticular, reflective or plain (Mine is lenticular-UPC 024543519546)? If it's just plain and not lenticular or reflective and it's a decent image, then the nay-sayers don't have a leg to stand on according to the rules.

8Ball:

I am sorry you have a lenticular cover, those are the WORST. The one rory and i have is not, it is simply a very high quality printing (glossy, but not reflective) on a sleeve. The kind that are perfect for scanning and give absolutely the highest quality end product.

Tell me about it. Lenticulars are nearly impossible .

Randy,

I am so sorry for you.   , Lenticulars are an absolute B***H.
Luckily mine is a standard glossy as Skip said.

Rory,
This happened to me a few months ago, except my situation was the opposite. People were arguing over what is identical. Even Gerri chipped in. You can see the post here and Gerri's comments on page 3.

I put my vote and comments.  The slip cover art work does have different hues, in reality both are quality scans and both are accurate,  with that being said must accept slip cover...

The rules answers your ?:
Quote:
If a DVD is packaged in a keep case, within a slipcase of some kind, scan the Cover Images from the outer slipcase. If, however, the Slipcase is reflective, and the inner cover art is identical, use the Keep Case art to scan, as it will give a better quality image.

The only time you don't have to scan the slip cover is when it is highly reflective and the same as the keep case. For this dvd there are two versions of the slip cover both have the same image but one is reflective and the other is not. rorymatt submitted the one that is not reflective. In my opinion if his was reflective he would have submitted the keep case front image and the slip cover back image.

Rory it sure did, which is the reason I PM'ed Gerri with some examples of the No votes and asked if she could chip in and give her opinion. After all that I can't believe that some users (the No voters) refuse to change after what Gerri told us.

eagle,

Like Skip I come to believe the there are some that are so convinced that their scans or data is above reproach, even when some of it came from IMDB. Now that is either  arrogance or just plain obstinance, I don't know which.
