8ballmax, no I'm not your pal, forgive me for the figure of speech. I definitely don't need pals like you with attitudes. And by product advertisement, I'm assuming their product is as advertised and works. As far as my wireless connection, when the tech was here, he disconnected it and went straight thru the high speed Internet and it didn't work either. So it's not my sucky wireless connection. neither cable or wireless works. When I sell you something, if I think you may have a problem, then I would tell you. Before you get into this too far, you may want to test it before getting into it full throttle. According to the makers, they know they have issues with it, that's why I'm assuming they sent me sn upgrade link not available to the public yet. that still doesn't explain why it crashes it the middle of a transfer. Even while inputting data into my iPhone the DVD profiler program crashed. I guess I got a sucky iPhone too huh? Funny thing about it, that's the only app on my iPhone that crashes. Do maybe they should send out a notice telling you, load a few and try and upload it before wasting your time. It does upload info into my computer, but takes forever. Funny thing, I don't have any problems with any other program on my computer either. Lightening fast on every program except the DVD profiler. So just thru looking at things on a common sense level, I'd have to say that since I have no problems with any other program other than the DVD profiler, it must be that certain app, and not my computer or sucky wireless connection.  So again, I don't think it's my connection since we've tried both cable and wireless. Maybe it a sucky app? And if you get offended by someone calling you pal, you should really try not to wear your feelings on your sleeve. You actually sounded like a real nice guy when I first had issues. But now you insult my equipment calling it sucky? I don't have to tell you where you can stick your comments, or your advise. How about buddy? Does that hurt your feelings? I've been called a lit worse in the last 24 years in my profession. You must be a computer whiz. But if domeone calls me pal, it's a he'll of a lot better than a lot of things I can think of. And to be honest with you, I'm going to have to go back and look at my posts, because I don't remember calling you pal. It's a slogan I don't usually use. Maybe I was extremely frustrated when I wrote it, I don't know. But I do remember you trying to solve my issues and I did really appreciate your time and effort. But geez man, don't get upset about the word pal! I would understand if you were or are an African American and called you the "N" word. But if that's the worst you've ever been called, I'd say you've had a pretty good life! Hell, I thought my name was you no good son of a bi*ch until I was 13!

Mark Harrison, I think you are correct. There are a lot of bugs on this app. I took your advise and began all over again entering them directly into the desktop. That away I know they'll get in there. I'm about half way there now and haven't had any issues. Thank your for the idea, it's just ashamed that I wasted so much time with the mobile app. I know it's not my Internet connection, or my phone or computer, because that is the only program I have trouble with. They even sent me sn upgrade to the version that isn't available to the public yet. And here's a newsflash! It's not any better than the current version that everyone is using now! Still have the same problem. My iPhone crashes, it doesn't upload, and basically just sits there until it crashes. Every now and then it will upload about 10-15 dvd's, but that's it. In 3 days I was able to upload about 25-30 dvd's. So I took your advise, scrapped the project and started over. I hope they can get their bugs worked out, because I really think they have a great idea and I really love what they're trying yo do with the app. But you've probably given me the best idea of them all. Put the iPhone down and start over on the computer! Thanks!

Silentbob, thank you for your efforts and your time. But I've decided to scrap what I've done and started reloading everything directly into my computer. If the tech I had over hear could get it to work, there's a big bug in the app as domeone else suggested. I guess I'm just one of the unlucky ones that just can't get things to sync with their app. The ones who can don't know how lucky they are not to have issues. The tech went thru wireless, disconnected that and went directly thru my high speed Internet connectio also. He tried everything. The iPhone kept crashing as it still did until I decided to give up on the mobile app. But again, thank you for your time! It is greatly appreciated.

8ballmax, I did call you pal. It was sarcastic in your response to my postbof you calling my response rediculous. So pal, o withdraw my apology. Have a good day PAL, buddy, friend. After all I didn't direct any sarcasm to you. I was speaking of the app. You must be one of the programmers on this project. That must be why you took my post personally. If you are one of the designers, you have a lot of bugs to fix pal. Just look at Mark Harrison's post pal.

Not that anyone wants to but if they do, adding a paragraph or line break makes it much easier to read then a giant wall of text.

Hi

When I read all the things here in the forum I come to the conclusion, that the sync from desktop to the iPhone does work fine, but there must be a problem to sync from the iPhone to the desktop. I have over 2'000 films and I put them all in my desktop application and sync them to the iPhone and iPad. That did always run perfect, no problem. I never did enter something on the iPhone to sync with the desktop. For me the good way is still the desktop with my barcode scanner. On the iPhone I have all then to look when I'm abroad or in a shop to see if I have already the film or not. I believe at the moment it is the best choice to enter the films in the desktop application and sync them to the iPhone and iPad. I am sure Ken will find the problem why there is so much trouble the other way. My iPhone and iPad app did never crash also I have 2'000 films in it with high resolution images.

Same here. No problems syncing both ways with iPhone 4 and iPad. My initial sync was transferring about 1000 profiles from desktop to iOS. After scanning about 500 more discs on my iPhone I transferred them to the desktop.

Maybe there is a problem when the entire collection originates on an iOS device. It's probably not a common scenario for most of us.

Same with me, with 3K profiles, I had only one small problem with some images for my custom media types (DVD-A & Laserdisc) but with some help from Gerri I redid the images and cleared that up. i have had no trouble adding or syncing.

I have the same problem.  I started with IOS and scanned 680 titles.  Then I downloaded the free version of the PC to see if I wanted to buy it.  Sharing, Changes, IP, no password - everything is setup fine and connects.  When I try to update the collection from the IPod to PC it connects and works on the 'sending changes'.  After about 10 minutes it crashes.  The PC didn't show anything until I repaired the database, and now I have 299 of the titles transferred.  Multiple attempts can't get any more sent to the PC...
