Would connect with 1.1.0 but would not show the collection. Now with the update it will not connect at all. As soon as you click continue a message pops up that its unable to connect.

Using an ipod 4.2.1

Verify the IP address listed on the status bar of the desktop app.  If you're not using the IP address, try changing it to use the IP address.

Sometimes I can use the machine name, sometimes I have to use the IP.  But it's not just with the iOS app.

Have  tried both with no success. Tried trough the internet too. The test passed but would still not connect. Tried rebooting and reinstalling several times. No combination has gotten it to work.

Do you use the Windows firewall? I was having the exact same issue until I opened up the firewall program via the control panel, then deleted the program rule for DVD profiler. Opened up Profiler again, and then used the 'test' button under tools/options/sharing to force windows to generate a new rule. After that is worked immediately (although I had to use the IP not computer name). Good luck.
