Check out other Blu-ray burners. Compare a bunch here. | | | We don't need stinkin' IMDB's errors, we make our own. Ineptocracy, You got to love it. Compare a bunch here. I'll also throw in a recommendation for an LG BD-Rom player. I bought the GGC-H20L a little over 2 years back at Newegg also. It's served me well, no problems with it at all. | | | Corey |

| Posted: | | | | Be sure to check the transfer speeds and get one with a high value. You can spot the cheapies because they're slow. |

| Posted: | | | | About external BD drives:
I'm ridiculously non-tech-savvy... If I connect an external BD-drive via USB 2.0 port, is the transfer speed good enough for BD movies? I'm a bit hesitant of getting an internal drive and trying to install it correctly...
If external drives are good with USB 2.0, any recommendations on those? | | | Mika I hate people who love me, and they hate me. (Bender Bending Rodriguez) |

| Posted: | | | | I have an external LG drive (LG BE06LU10) and it is definitely fast enough to handle movies via USB 2.0. It can also read data discs even faster than movies ever require, up to 6x normal speed. | | | First registered: February 15, 2002 |

Thanks for the info. I'm off to the external BD drive shop then in a day or two... | | | Mika I hate people who love me, and they hate me. (Bender Bending Rodriguez) |

| Posted: | | | | My LG BH08LS20 (built 06/2009) fritzed out two weeks ago.
Two years warranty, the LG service exchanged it with a very used looking drive from 12/2008, which works but which I do not trust at all.
So I bought a LG BH10LS30 (80 EUR), alternatives are scarce. | | | Don't confuse while the film is playing with when the film is played. [Ken Cole, DVD Profiler Architect] |
