| Posted: | | | | Hey all, Just a quick thought... I would love to have a "View trailer" option when I'm going thru my collection. I know I can simply go up into Online---view trailer but I think it would be better as a part of my screen. I found one online but it is in German and the translation really doesn't work. Any ideas? Thanks in advance. Sean |

The downside is that you would have to select and add them all manually (like cast photos/headshots have to be) because there is no HTML code built into Profiler to do this as directly as the button you mentioned does. | | | If at first you don't succeed, skydiving isn't for you.

| Posted: | | | | There are several sample HTML sections in this thread that play trailers in either a VLC player window or Windows Media Player window. Now that Invelos Search has been fixed, you might try searching for them. Some people have also embedded a player in Notes using the same technique. The major downside of that method is that the window is reset eaxh time a DVD is selected. Both the Online and My Links Trailers options solve this problem, but the player is not docked inside DVDP. The other option is one I created a couple of years back that solves all of those issues: LoadDVD Pro. It will play trailers and just about any other media, within a docked window inside DVDP. The player automatically switches between a web browser, WMP and Youtube Flash depending on the media. Netflix is also supported, but not inside the docked window, due to Silverlight compatibility issues. Netflix trailers are automatically recognized, and if you are logged in and the Instant Movie is available, the Netflix icon will play that instead of the trailer.
So, depending on your needs, there are several native DVDP options and a couple of plugin options available.
I am in the process of adding features to both LoadDVD (free) and LoadDVD Pro (fee) that take advantage of the new My Links feature in DVDP 3.8. | | | Thanks for your support. | Posted: | | | | What I'm looking for, now that I have time to read your comments is this... simply a "button" that says "View Trailer" which would fit nicely under the title. You click the button and a window pops up and plays the trailer. I really don't want the screen to always be there, it would block content.
Does that change anything or am I in the same situation as before. It seems like i have to go the small extra route of clicking 2 buttons and not 1. Geez, look at me crying over 1 extra click. But you know what, I had to ask. |

Then click the Commands tab and on the left, select Online. On the right, scroll down to near the bottom and find 'View Trailers'. Click and drag this into your toolbar where you'd like it and click Close. | | | Invelos Software, Inc. Representative |

| Posted: | | | | That goes ditto for the My Links icon. Although it would be cooler if the text didn't show, except as a tooltip, the same way that View Trailers does it. | | | Thanks for your support. Free Plugins available here.
