Quick question: does "Executive Producer for <company name>" result in an "Executive Producer" credit for our purposes? I'm currently looking at one that says: "Executive Producer for BBC".

I'd say so, yes. Question is whether it should also result in using a company divider, like in the Art section.

Don't see why this should be treated different than the Visual Effects credits with company mentioned.

So, for me, "Yes", it does result in "Executive Producer". In addition one might even add a Group Divider with company name.
It all seems so stupid, it makes me want to give up!
But why should I give up, when it all seems so stupid?

I'd agree that it's a valid EP credit also.

Many films have various EP for multiple studios involved in the production of a film or TV series, they just don't always spell out which studios in the film credits.

In some credits they do specify which studios the EP was involved with, and I'd say this is one example of that.

If the company is one of the studios involved in production (as opposed to an effects house or something), then yes. Sounds like a yes here.

Agreed:  a valid credit which should be placed under a company divider.

History Channel does this for every one of their DVD's. It's usually Susan Werbe with no other variants. I've left her off and included her, but since she hasn't had any other variants, it wouldn't matter CLT-wise.
My one wish for the DVD Profiler online database: Ban or remove the disc-level profiles of TV season sets. It completely screws up/inflates the CLT.
FACT: Imdb is WRONG 70% of the time! Misspelled cast, incomplete cast, wrong cast/crew roles. So for those who want DVD Profiler to be "as perfect as Imdb", good luck with that.
Stop adding UNIT crew! They're invalid credits. Stop it!

Animal Planet, National Geographic and Discovery Channel do it too.  I always use a group divider for these, as a company divider like in the art section.
