Greetings all. This is my first post, so please excuse me if the subject has been covered elsewhere within the boards.

I'm a newbie and giving DVD Profiler 3.8.2 a spin to see if it will meet my archiving criteria. The most important feature for me will be adding titles manually, yet I'm not seeing how to do that thus far. I'll be using this software exclusively for my music documentary library, of which I have over 4,000 titles not yet commercially released, so they won't be appearing in your database. Could someone kindly advise the steps on how to add titles manually? Is it not an available feature with an unpaid account? Thanks in advance for your help.

Respectfully,
The Rock Snob

On the Add DVD to Collection screen at the bottom left, un-check Download Profile from Invelos.

One of the benefits of a paid license is the ability to use plugins for collections larger than 50 items. Some plugins can assist in bulk loading from a list or spreadsheet if you already have your collection in that format.

Further, with full access to the Forums, there are people here that know how to convert or import other formats, such as MS Access or XML.

You get quite a bit for $30. Food for thought ...
Thanks for your support.

When using DVDProfiler exclusively for CDs you will find that the names of many data-fields are not quite matching your needs.

For adapting a better fitting naming you can customize the names of the data-fields by using the Master-Translation Source File. Mind you: Chnages here will only change the names of the data-fields, not the way the data is handled.
It all seems so stupid, it makes me want to give up!
But why should I give up, when it all seems so stupid?

Welcome to the Asylum!

Here are the differences between the paid and unpaid versions of the program. You might find that $30 for a lifetime registration is not a bad deal at all.

You'll be fine if you follow greyghost's suggestion.

Ehmm,
my fault.
Read "Music" and concluded "CD".

Yes, I was speaking of music documentary DVD's.

Thanks one and all for your help. Looks like I should just take the dive and invest the $$$. It's certainly a great deal, just wanted to be sure I could do all I needed to.

I'm profiling my books and my comics with the program, someone else uses it as Wine Profiler.
