As I have many movies that I have purchased digitally, I would like to see the ability to add them to the database by having Profiler monitor certain folders/directories and reading the mp4 tags and automatically adding them.

As a slight variant, I have been keeping a group of digital purchases and would be intrigued to have this as a file format (as with DVD, BluRay, HD-DVD, etc,) available with in the application. I created a custom file tag, but of course it does not show under the Webpage collection
Thanks.

I also would love to have this feature. I find I am getting more of my movies digitally lately and would like to continue using this software to catalog them.  If you could get it to import the metadata as well to add video and audio specs for the file that would be great.

Thanks!

To date I maintain a separate list (not showing on the web) and I find a close match with needed info as a DVD or BluRay, then create a custom entry with no data from Invelos turning off the disc type.

I then Disc Copy Paste relevant info from the entry to my custom entry. I have to dig up cover art via web and never submit entry to Online database.
Thanks.

That sounds unnecessarily complicated.

Why not search a good profile via Title search, download it with covers, and then change it to a manual profile?
( DVD -> Change UPC / Locality -> Manual ID )
Afterwards change whatever you need.

(I do similar for keeping track of my Netflix watched and want-to-see titles)

Exactly what metadata fields do you need? From ID3 tags? Other?
