| Posted: | | | | Quoting Jackiechanfan: Quote: Something with HDMI input. About the 700 dollar range. I have had good luck with Epson projectors. I usually buy the high end which sell for about 2x - 4x what you want to pay, but they make a wide range of models whose performance and features are not that much different from the flagships, especially if you don't need 3D, super high contrast, component input and lens shift. Here is one example. (Actually that one seems to even have 3D). Some more info: I am on my third one, after upgrading to get new features. The first two were sold, and worked perfectly the whole time. I even installed a new lamp in the first one. It was dead easy. Only problem I had was with the second one that arrived with a defect. Since it was not from Amazon, I called Epson directly and they sent me a new one immediately, no questions asked. They paid shipping for the returned machine. Other than that, I have had nothing but many hours of great viewing. | | | Thanks for your support. Free Plugins available here. Advanced plugins available here. Hey, new product!!! | Posted: | | | | Sorry for the really late reply (I don't spend much time here anymore). Thanks for the recommendation. In the end I went with a refurbished Aaxa Tecnologies P450 Pico Projector for $340. I'm pretty pleased with it, build quality feels a little cheap. It also tends to lose focus slightly over maybe half a hour (I'm guessing a non fixed issue in the refurbishing?) Not really a huge problem to me, as it's only really noticable with text on screen & takes about 5 seconds to fix. Over buying the projector new for $500, i'm happy I went with refurbished. It is only my second projector, I had a Aiptek PocketCinema T10 that I got for $170 just for playing around with. | | | Last edited: by Jackiechanfan |
