| Posted: | | | | Hi, I have contributed this box set and it was knocked back. The reason was: The UPC/EAN of the contributed cover scan does not match the profile's UPC/EAN. I have a scan of the front and back (info) on the profile and as can be see (and I mentioned in my contribution notes), there is no UPC/EAN anywhere on the box. Can you please advise what is required for this contribution. |

| Posted: | | | | OK, I found the UPC/EAN. I was looking for a barcode. It is on the spine and just a number (5099950952298). When I enter this number to add it I get a message to say the number is already in use by The Beatles Help!. Yes, I have the normal DVD as well and that also has this number. What total idiot would give two different packages the same number. Anyway that doesn't solve my problem. I can't even add this one to my local collection for insurance purposes. Or can I ?? |

| Posted: | | | | BTW, It better not be a pirate version as I bought it from Amazon (not a re-seller on Amazon). OK, I have found out how at create an 'Alternate Version', can this be contributed ? It has the same UPC/EAN as my normal version. How do I contribute it? I can take photos of the number on the spine. |

| Posted: | | | | You should only have to mention in the notes that the UPC is on the spine. | | | Pete |

| Posted: | | | | Done that. Also added that it conflicts with the normal DVD issue as far as UPC/EAN goes. See how we go this time. |

I know this has also happened with a Blu-Ray of a film having the same Barcode as the DVD version! I also have a 'The Complete First Series' set of 'The Thick of It' which has the same barcode as 'The Complete Series One & Two". | Posted: | | | | LOL!!!
The contributed alternate entry does not meet the requirement of being significantly different from the existing profile. Small changes such as case type and Disc IDs do not warrant a distinct profile. |

| Posted: | | | | Sure, here is the link to Amazon. Have a look at the items contained in the box set under the main photo.

| Posted: | | | | The UPC on the spine is 5099950952298. Paper went missing soon after getting package. How do I add a photo to here ? I can send a scan of the spine. |

What seems to have happened in this case is, they reused the box, created a single sheet with a new UPC and stuck it on the box. It is unfortunate that you lost the single sheet but, because it does have an actual UPC, it should not be entered via the alternate ID method. | | | No dictator, no invader can hold an imprisoned population by force of arms forever. | Posted: | | | | They have knocked it back three times so I will forget it. No wonder none of the Australian DVD's I buy are in the database - they probably reject them all. |
