I'm trying to find a way to keep track of my online streaming purchases (mostly Amazon, Flimmit, Apple and Google). Has anyone of you found a good way to do this with the Profiler? Do you use some custom media types?

PS: Sorry, if this has been discussed before, but the search function didn't yield any useful result.

I use a custom media type called "Digital" and did a quick banner that says "HD Digital".  It works fine though I am sure there is a better alternative but the work behind making that (somehow linking to the various streaming companies) happen would be near impossible.

Along with custom media types and the banner, there are custom collection categories and icons you can create.

There is also a plugin, SideCar, that allows you to create custom fields. It has a few sample fields already created, such as the digital registration key and type. This is probably overkill for you and not suitable unless you don't mind a bit of tinkering , but you might read the documentation to get some ideas. If you decide to use the plugin, let me know.
Thanks for your support.

I'm using a Collection Category 'Netflix' in conjunction with media-type 'Netflix' to keep track of titles I want to watch and more important titles I did watch.

I just search the best fitting profile (in most cases BD because I like the ratio of the covers, US locality because no nasty rating stickers) and download it.

Thanks for the suggestions! :-)

I'll probably go for a mix of what was suggested. I'm thinking about a new Collection Category "Streaming" (or "Online") with custom media types for Netflix, Amazon,...

Now I just have to find a good way to mark SD/HD content in that scheme.

@mediadogg: I've just downloaded the manual and will have a look at SideCar on the weekend. Thanks!

As I am owning only one item of streaming content so far (Kickstarter copy of the Veronica Mars movie) I'm simply using the self-defined Media Type "Digital Download"

And for phpDVDProfiler I'm using this icon:

Just a thought: put Amazon, Netflix etc in place of purchase and SD/HD in media type.

Or SD/HD as tags, see Create, edit and set Tags
