Hi everyone,

I'm encountering several issues with DVD Profiler, have opened 3 support tickets, and... nothing!

Is the product still maintained / supported?

I have a support ticket in queue for over 2 years. I'm afraid that support is non existent.

Edit: Have you tried a database repair to fix your problems?

Which I don't understand, as Ken does drop by once in a while.  His last forum visit was 6/26/2020.

How did you determine that?

I added him to my friends list a couple months ago.  He seems to drop by about three or four times a month.

In order not to have any problems in the future, I migrated the collection to Movie Collector with the CLZ Movies android app, from Collectorz.com

since this is dead (we knew that a long time ago) but know i cannot even refresh the online data.
anyway, collectorz looks like a nice alternative

can you please tell me how to import my data from invelos dvdprofiler (register user)

can i just do it from the PC, i do not have an app on my phone (again on iOS the app is ages ago).

Does collectorz offers an import from invelos ?

thanks!

@Vassilis

You mean CollectorZ does not have a community of users that will help you import? You mean they have no documented way of importing data from other products? What a shame.

Maybe enter a support ticket to them?

I find it ironic that without asking this community for help refreshing your profiles, you assert that it doesn't work any more (I use it every day), and then ask for help migrating to a different program.

I bought a new computer and downloaded the program.

When I tried to add my collection (from my online collection), I am not able to do so. I get a message that there is a newer program is available and I need to change to that program. The problem is that there is not a newer version available.

probably you are the only one.

ok i got a refresh, still my new DVD just purchased is not on the list, as many previous ones. I have for the past years adding different format or languages just to get in to my collection. We all just preserving a dead software.

So yes. So Long, and Thanks for All the Fish

I've seen this problem reported before, long ago. I don't remember the solution. Hopefully someone else will. Is it possible that you downloaded from one of those old Beta links? Might be worth double checking. I know there was one Beta near the "end" that had the same release signature as the official release, but internally the program recognized the difference. Just a vague memory.

Great, you got a refresh! So nice to know I'm no longer the only one! (I am also a fan of Hitchhiker's - glad you enjoyed the fish.  ).

Your new DVD isn't on the list?  Well add it.  Why do you expect someone else to have bought the DVD and added it?  It's your collection.  You bought the DVD.  Add it to your local database.  And by the way, the fact you have to put the work in doesn't make this software dead.  There's nothing wrong with the software.

Cry me a river... 99% of what I buy isn't in the online database, stop being a lazy ass and do the work yourself as I do since at least 5 years.

PS: No I can't share since those are VODs purchase and I don't accept the software rating system anyway (that's an old story so don't ask).

Can't disagree, I do eveything by myself since so many years that the online database sure isn't what keep DVDP alive for me...
