Select DVD->Add to Collection (), then select the Add By Title tab to add DVDs to your collection by Title.  If you're adding to your ordered or wish list, this will be the default tab.

To add to your owned, ordered, or wish list, ensure that list is selected before selecting this option.

UPCs (Universal Product Codes) are the best way to add DVDs you already own to your collection.  If the DVD has a UPC, you should instead add it by UPC.

Enter part or all of the DVD's title. Select "Full substring filter" to search within titles.

For more extensive search options, select "Advanced Filters". You'll then have the option to search by region, release date range, rating, or genre, or combine search options for more specific searches.

DVD Profiler will show all matching profiles, within the selected region. To change the default region, visit Tools->Options->Defaults.

Select the matching profile. You may also select multiple profiles to add at once by pressing the space bar.

Before you add the DVD, you may choose to preview the profile first. Select Preview, and DVD Profiler will download and display the profile and cover images (if available). If you have two profiles selected, DVD Profiler will download and display both, and highlight the profile differences. This is a great way to find out more about DVDs before you buy.

Select "Add DVD" to add the DVD to your collection. If there are no matches, you can still add the DVD to your collection by deselecting "Download profile from Invelos", then entering the title and selecting a region and locality. Note that profiles entered in this manner cannot be contributed to the online database.

If "Prompt for personalization" is selected, you'll next see the Personalize DVD dialog box.

DVD Profiler will add this title to your Pending Additions list on the right. When you're finished adding titles, select "Add Now" to have DVD Profiler add the pending additions to your collection.

If the title is available online, but you'd like to enter it manually, uncheck Download profile from Invelos.  This is also useful for DVDs you've created.  Note: DVDs added this way will appear in your online My Profiler collection, but cannot be contributed to the main online DVD Profiler database.
