Umm, Amazon already sold me a copy - a really helpful comment. You actually took the time to research and create a link - geez.

Anyway, I'll try WB customer service. And I'll check my purchase history to see who the Amazon vendor was where I bought the original copy, although I'm well past the exchange window.

FYI there are players that read both DVDs and Blu-Ray. I must have at least 10 such devices, in my PC, various laptops, standalone players and changer. So, believe it or not, most all my DVD players and my PCs also read Blu-Ray discs.

You are confusing DVD with B-rD and forward compatibility with backward compatibility.

While a Blu-ray Player will be capable of playing DVDs (backward compatibility) a DVD-Player will most definitely not Play Blu-rays (lack of forward compatibility).

You explicitly mentioned that your Blu-ray doesn't play in a DVD-Player, which, as I have to confess, is the behaviour that is to be expected.

Warner Bros has a replacement program for defective blue ray discs ... I had two defective HDDVD from 2007  where bewteen chapters 8 to say 14  there was no picture just a snarled mess ..  WB sent me a mailer  to send back the discs  and then they replaced both with Blue Ray of the same titles .. (  Phantom of the Opera 2004 / the other was Mutiny on the Bounty 1962 ..  did a quick check on google  to find phone number and found this quote -
