| Posted: | | | | Quoting Giga Wizard: Quote: accepted contribution made by Deacon78 on 7321921713170.5 - Marked George Wallace with Birthyear (1952), another George Wallace (BY 1917) played in movies like "Minority Report" & "Buffy".
George Wallace (1952) Batman Forever, A Rage in Harlem, Punchline, Things are Tough All Over and Postcards from the Edge http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/George_Wallace_(comedian) http://www.georgewallace.net
George Wallace (1917-2005) Radar Men from the Moon Commando Cody, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/George_D._Wallace a long list can be found here: http://www.filmreference.com/film/23/George-Wallace.html Not needed (or even allowed), since the latter is mostly credited as "George D. Wallace". So that's what we use to differentiate between the two, not birth years. An exception would be when there are even more people named George Wallace: if that's the case, you can add 1952 to the first George Wallace you mentioned, and find additional birth years for any other ones. Your second "George Wallace" would then still be entered as "George D. Wallace" though - WITHOUT the birth year. | | | Last edited: by T!M |

| Posted: | | | | Can we please refrain from having discussions in this thread? This thread is for the posting of documentation for BYs that have already been accepted into the DB. If you have a problem with a particular BY, please start a new thread. It is hard enough keeping track of the documentation posts, if I have to wade through discussion posts as well it will be nigh impossible. Thanks, in advance, for your cooperation. | | | No dictator, no invader can hold an imprisoned population by force of arms forever. | Posted: | | | | Quoting Unicus69: Quote: Can we please refrain from having discussions in this thread? I think it's worth pointing out if someone submits a birth year that isn't necessary/allowed by the rules. I'd have thought you'd be interested: there are lots of incorrect birth years in the database (Bruce Willis, John Cleese, Samuel L. Jackson,... I think I can supply about 50 of them, including fake ones like '9999') but the good thing of this thread is that it only lists correct ones that are actually needed per the rules. At least, that's what I thought. Even though someone might have managed to get something accepted, doesn't mean it's right. I'm not about to start a separate thread just to prove Giga Wizard wrong - I thought pointing it out would be enough. Again: if there are more George Wallace's, birth years MAY be necessary, but the second one from Giga Wizard's post is REALLY mostly credited as George D. Wallace, and as such, he should not, and can not, get a birth year. His common name is "George D. Wallace", period. Adding him to this thread would be wrong. To me, that seemed like an important bit of information, and this seemed the appropriate place to post it. |

| Posted: | | | | Let me try again. This thread is a list of BYs, and the associated documentation, that have been accepted into the Invelos DB. Because documentation is required, people like Bruce Willis, Sam Jackson and John Cleese are not listed here...even if they are in the main db. In addition, because I require the actual BY to be included in the post, fake BYs will not make it into the list either. As I said above, maintaining this list isn't easy as I have to verify that each link matches the BY it is being associated with. Wading through arguments, in order to find the BY posts, makes it that much harder. I know you think you are helping, but you aren't as I don't read every post. Because of the time involved, I skip most of the posts that do not contain BY information. I made the above request because I missed several BY posts. I lost them amongs the posts made by you, Giga and a few others...myself included. Bottom line, I maintain this thread as a service to the community so that we don't have to duplicate work that has already been done. All I asked for was one small courtesy that would make my job easier. If that is to hard for you to understand, well, I don't know what else to say. | | | No dictator, no invader can hold an imprisoned population by force of arms forever. All I was trying to do was to prevent incorrect data from entering this list. If that is too hard for you to understand, well, I don't know what else to say. I am, obviously, perfectly willing to move further discussions elsewhere, but if someone posts a wrong bit of information here, it seems worth pointing that out right then and there. That's all. |

I understand why you did it, all I asked is that you do it in a different way. If you don't want to start a new thread, send me a PM...lots of people do...and I will start the thread myself. I just want to keep this thread free from clutter as it make things much easier on me...especially now that I have started to go back and add links to the old BYs. | | | No dictator, no invader can hold an imprisoned population by force of arms forever. I don't believe any of the film's starring or directed by Richard Rosson 1893 are even on DVD let alone in the Invelos Database. I may be wrong though. | | | My WebGenDVD online Collection |

I'll leave that to Unicus to decide if he wishes to list it up front. Both names are in the CLT (two films by the elder Rosson). Currently all the 1978 Rosson credits should be Richard Rosson (Rubber Ritchie) b/c that how his only film (Goblet of Fire) is credited so technically they shouldn't intersect unless he acts again using just his given name. The elder Rosson BY was easy to acquire (love those gravestone photos ) so i figured i'd share the information. | | | Bad movie? You're soaking in it! | | | Last edited: by tweeter |

Per Ken's direction, we don't enter BYs unless they are needed. In hindsight, and with apologies to T!M, I guess this is the best place to make these posts. I will just have to do a better job of looking for the pertinent posts. | | | No dictator, no invader can hold an imprisoned population by force of arms forever. Adding birthyear to Anna May Wong. There's a different Anna May Wong (birthyear unknown) starring in "The Savage Innocents" by Nicholas Ray. The audio commentary on the Masters of Cinema edition of that movie mentions this and one can verify the difference visually. The birthyear 1905 has been taken from Wikipedia. Sources "The Savage Innocents" (The Masters of Cinema Series) R2 DVD, Audio Commentary http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anna_May_Wong http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0938923/ http://www.imdb.com/name/nm1392656/ that's what my contribution of "The Thief of Bagdad" (738329-032920) said and it got accepted. so: Anna May Wong (1905). Actress in The Thief of Bagdad, Shanghai Express, Peter Pan Anna May Wong. Actress in The Savage Innocents | | | - Jan |
