I didn't think it would be that difficult, but I soon changed my mind when my first list went past 70!
I'm surprised by some of the titles that didn't make my final 25: no Halloween, no Pan's Labyrinth, no Mario Bava or Peter Jackson films and the only reason The Devils didn't stay in was because it's only available as a bootleg

So here's my final list, though I'll probably disagree with most of it tomorrow. In alphabetical order (no way I can prioritize them):

The Adventures of Priscilla, Queen of the Desert (Australia, 1994)
Akira (Japan, 1988)
Amadeus (USA, 1984)
Blue Velvet (USA, 1986)
Bubba Ho-Tep (USA, 2002)
Cyrano de Bergerac (France, 1990)
Dark City (Australia, 1998)
Dead Ringers (Canada, 1988)
The Dead Zone (USA, 1983)
Deep Red (Italy, 1975)
Dial M for Murder (USA, 1954)
Don't Look Now (UK, 1973)
Edward Scissorhands (USA, 1990)
The Elephant Man (USA, 1980)
The Incredibles (USA, 2004)
Moulin Rouge! (Australia, 2001)
The Name of the Rose (Germany, 1986)
Nekromantik (Germany, 1987)
Once Upon a Time in the West (Italy, 1968)
Peeping Tom (UK, 1960)
Psycho (USA, 1960)
Robocop (USA, 1987)
A Short Film about Love (Poland, 1988)
Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street (2007)
Les Yeux sans Visage (France, 1960)

Could we make the next one a Top 50 maybe? I need the extra spaces!

Northbloke if this list goes over well, I will do another top something list.  Just for you I'll got for a top 50.  Also for tiebreaker purposes could you please put your list in ranked order.  Also if you post a new list please let me know which one to use.  Thanks.

Hmm... I thought I'd get off easy and sort my collection by review then post the top 25.  Turns out I haven't been as diligent in my reviewing as I had hoped.  1629/1880 unreviewed.    I'll take some time to pick manually since it would be unfair to leave unreviewed films like Anaconda out of the running.

Also, quick tip that may help - to start narrowing it down, I set up a tag for Top 25 with child tags for yes and no, then tagged each as I scrolled through the collection.  To quickly tag profiles in sequence, select the tag and press Ctrl+~.  This will set the selected tag and move to the next DVD.  So, the "No"s go quick.
