The way Skip described handling this situation is exactly how it was decided many years ago.

I recently updated the UK version of the profile in question and left all the stunt people out as they appear at the end of the cast and list and no further cast appear after them.

If, however, a stunt person was listed in the middle of a cast list I would NOT omit it.

Did you enter them in the Crew section oe just omit them completely?

You can track whatever you want using the custom crew feature.

but don't go claiming your method is somehow "better" than mine, or more widely supported. It's not.

I believe it was you who was making those claims with your "most users don't either" and "it would be ridiculous" comments.  I, on the other hand, made a factual statement about what happened way back when this first came up and never said it was a better solution.  But, hey, don't let the facts get in the way of a good self righteous rant.

Mike :

From a Contribution viewpoint relative to Crew Stunts do not exist at this time, so if you want them there you would have to make use of the Other Crew listings, coupled I presume with an As Credited so you would later KNOW what they were. 99% o the time , probably, Stunts will be viewed as Crew, but there are those odd occasions  which I have no explanation for (I don't make movies), but they exist nonetheless.

Thanks for posting this. It helped me cast a vote on a current contribution.

I am curious as to how this helped you vote.  We went from a small consensus to a virtual dead heat...15 for, 17 against & 5 others.  Maybe it's just me, but I don't see anything helpful in that poll.

On a side note, we really need some rule revisions.  This 'which way is the wind blowing this week' method is really getting old.

I would have voted 'no' based on what I thought the consensus was. Once I saw there was no real consensus, I didn't feel I could vote 'no' on what I saw.

Maybe we need a new consensus on titles with these circumstances then because I think these members should be listed somewhere and because they are only in the cast portion maybe they should stay. I myself will leave them locally.

The only law on any consensus is that if Tim and James don't agree then it's not a consensus. Because James boted counter to what the consensus was, so it has to meet with their approval.

I didn't like the idea originally but it makes sense because, none of us have the absolute ability to determine what is Cast and crew , nor can we explain why the filmmakers chose to do these things, and I am AGAINST anything which allows that.

The original consensus plan as far as I am concerned is what still stands, which means James you should have voted NO as you said. But it lets you get data in there and then you can stand against its removal as you like to do, even when your rationale is neither ratinal or logical because data uis sacred to you.

What?    I looked at those poll results and realized that opinions were all over the place on what should be done. Therefore, I decided against enforcing what I believed to be true. Go pick someone else to be your scapegoat today.

I think I understand now, thanks for the answer.

Unfortunately, this is the problem with user consensus, and the main reason I hate them so...they can change from week to week depending on who participates and how the question is posed.
