| Posted: | | | | Quoting RHo: Quote: I do not like the idea of bold and italic in our database. Keep the database text only. But then we do also not need this strange rule to simulate bold by quotes. I completely agree on both acounts. As for the one single wish: Separate field for DVD distributor. And please... For all new features you might implement, make sure the Plugin API, the XML, the HEADER_VARS, and the DP tags support them properly where needed. For those "in the know" I just say: slip cover checkbox. That really annoys me, because there is no workaround. | | | Matthias |

| Posted: | | | | Good one Matthias!
I'd like to be able to add watched events for each episode on a TV Series disc (or if a solution is not yet avilable, each film on a single-sided multi-feature) separately. | | | Achim [諾亞信; Ya-Shin//Nuo], a German in Taiwan. Registered: May 29, 2000 (at InterVocative) |

And you cant wish for more wishes Quoting skipnet50: Quote: Now you did it, Tigi, you upset the genie in your computer. Sorry, couldn't resist. But look at it that way: I could have easily posted a list of 20 or 30 wishes (especially considering that other members in the German profiler forum have wishes, too - and not everybody can speak English there). @Skip Well, I need a new computer anyway, so hopefully I can simultaneously dispose of the upset genie and get a fresh one. | | | Michael |

| Posted: | | | | Quoting whispering: Quote: If i had one wish, it would be that all cast/crew for the same movie would be stored to a single file. So no more adding cast/crew for dozens of diffrent profiles of the same movie. My #1 wish. Then people can concentrate more on profiles for stuff that has a single release, rather than falling over each other copying info between localities. Quoting Mark Harrison: Quote: I'm surprised no one has mentioned the ability to properly profile discs with more than one movie (or TV episode) on the same side of the disc. I'd LOVE to finally get rid of all my old manual profiles. I think this ties in with #1, but is my #2 wish anyway. Downloading the child profiles with the parents would also be a welcome addition. Something novel (to this thread anyway) that I'd like to see implemented is having commentary, audio descriptive, etc. as checkboxes so that the language that they're in can be indicated for the audio streams and subtitles. Perhaps for commentary, it would even be useful to have an open field to indicate who it is giving the commentary (as an increasing number of DVDs include several commentary tracks). e.g. Spanish Commentary [Director] That way I know that there's commentary, but I won't understand it. As it stands, commentary just tells me that there's a commentary. | | | Adelaide Movie Buffs (info on special screenings, contests, bargains, etc. relevant to Adelaideans... and contests/bargains for other Aussies too!) |

| Posted: | | | | I meant no disrespect SpaceFreakMicha, I didn't see it there. An excellent suggestion, and obviously supported. It's been a long week.
Something that just came to mind... and it's been bugging me for a bit... can we get the use of the shift key enabled on the scroll bars in the program? I'm used to being able to use the shift key to jump to where I click on the bar, and it irks me when it fails to do so in DVDP. | | | Adelaide Movie Buffs (info on special screenings, contests, bargains, etc. relevant to Adelaideans... and contests/bargains for other Aussies too!) | | | Last edited: by W0m6at |

| Posted: | | | | Who the hell can stick to ONE wish???!!!! Here's my top choices: 1. Overview text abilities 2. Local user-defined genres 3. AKA (also known as) field - local only 4. Ability to paste cast without overriding existing entries. 5. Ability to INSERT cast/crew members to specific place. 6. Tagline box (local only) with ability to input multiple entires that scroll (....before anyone says, I know this is already available as an HTML window (which I use), I would just like it as an integral feature). 7. Child profiles downloaded automatically. And.... For when it comes up..... Profiler Mobile: I would like the title search more intuitive, eg. not having to input entire title to find something. Having said all this I will be happy with any of the above - although if you could get them ALL into 3.5 ( ) I'd be eternally indebted! |
